Living the mountain bike dream in New Zealand and stoked to be representing Santa Cruz Bicycles, Juliana bicycles, Ibis Cycles and Reserve

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Hüttcross at Moonshine was, well, classic Moonshine conditions. Mud bound together with grass and fading memories of wheels that spin freely.

It’s been pelting down all week, so let’s do it all again this weekend at Ngati Tama eh?

Massive thanks to @don_johnson_nz for the mint 📸. I saw a $2 coin, honest!

Our last day in Lesvos and in Greece. Sad Face. Fantastico! Family, beaches, tarvernas, sunsets, the food, ouzo, Fredo espresso and more. On to the next adventure, but already know this is the highlight of our holiday.

Hüttcross. Proper conditions today. I think that coach @wallace_training said something about resistance training, which I obviously took to heart. Laps 3-5 felt a bit harder, so I guess it wasn’t just my legs.

Thanks to everyone who made it a proper excellent day

@huttcross season got underway a couple's of weeks back. Prime"isn't this fun" conditions with a course that didn't let up (except for traction on the off camber sections once the grass had been ripped clean), and a huge group of b class racers.

I took coach @wallace_training advice and started towards the front of the bunch, and managed to finish respectably (but not high enough to be "promoted" to A grade 🤞). The last season spot prize @wheelworkshandcraftedwheels wheels also went pretty nice 👍

The next round is in a week at Hikoikoi, which is one of my favourite venues

A massive thanks to @don_johnson_nz and @lisangphoto for the 📸

Golden hour on Mākara peak is always special. Just make sure to give yourself enough time to get down the dark side of the hill via one of the fun trails.

There's a few new trails being built at #makarapeak at the moment, and I helped out for a wee bit today on the new grade 5 from the trig next to the start of Varley's.

It's going to be a damned fun trail when it's done. Did are normally Sundays from 2pm if you want to give a hand (but may shift to Monday over King's birthday weekend)

Also, the golden light at the end of the day is amazeballs, but doesn't extend to the morning side of the hill 😳

What an amazing fun evening at the @manacyclegroup #Noctourno race tonight. 3 stages. A bunch of marginal traction. Many grins. And a heartfelt "more cowbell" to @necessaryevil56 for distracting me so I completely over shot the jump.

And after hearing a playlist when I finished my first stage, I was inspired to put on some Joy Division to race to. 3rd overall in the human-powered Bike class, so it worked pretty good.

Cheers MCG for a great night. And cheers to @davidbevansmith for looking after the timing so I could race 🥳

As for surprises, thanks to @hyperformancehardware for the freebies, I didn't know that a valve core and tubeless tape is included, wth ( I am not complaining 😉).

It’s been 23 years since @jnc414 lived in Welly, so it’s been great to show him some of the new stuff. But when the wind doesn’t blow (and let’s be honest, it’s a rare day), Red Rocks/Pariwhero is an old school treat.

We got out to the coast and decided that back over Mount Vic was probably the thing to do. Fortunately, we were right. I do like it when a plan comes together.

And yes, he is that tall 🤣
