Last Friday I guested on @__toura show on @reprezentradio, and I uploaded my section of the show on my Soundcloud. I’ve been a big fan and supporter of Toura’s music, and if you don’t know you should get to know - he’s an exceptionally talented producer and DJ, and hasn’t been dubbed the golden child of Grime for no reason. The mix is a live recording from my opening set at Cakeshop last July for the More Breaks w/ GROW THE CULTURE event. Opening slots are often underappreciated, but I feel like it’s one of the most important slots of the night, which is also why at More Breaks events it’s usually the residents who open the night. It also lets you get a bit weird, and I really wanted to play out some heavy Weightless tunes on the Cakeshop system so I asked for the opening slot :) I thought it would be fun to slowly progress from the more abstract to the intuitive, from the cold to the warm. I’ve always found the two step groove to be particularly fun to get yourself warmed up to so the mix progressed into some steppy dubstep and garage tunes before handing it off to Nimvy. Slide for TL, and Shamtarctica forever

This month’s subtle show is up on SC, link in the usual places. First hour from NZ based DJ, producer, and soundsystem builder @noharmsound and me in the second, going thru the sounds we’re both obsessed with - grime, club, dubstep, techno etc The explosion of creativity of the 2010s, from Boxed/Crazy Legs Grime to NH/Nightslugs Club constructions have been a big inspiration to me recently, and it’s quite nice finding like minded people from around the internet - NoHarm being one of them. NoHarm starts off dark and dusty, reflecting the DIY rave scene of NZ, an hour of excellent club, dubstep, and grime mutations so I decided to carry that energy into more grimey territory, finishing off with a sprinkle of electro. @fattrouttrailerpark Listen to our new EP ‘Sipping on a Curse’, bots are calling it the best new cheese since Gouda (still all time #1 for the real heads). These reviews are part of our new strategy (Begin Dominating Social Media). In order to bump our online ‘engagement’ and ‘presence’, we spent all our savings on the Geese PR machine. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! 1) they said meme + minimal effort + white = success ✅ 2) they got @oliviarodrigo to pay US to be featured alongside us on Spotify’s homepage 🤯 (though it had to be recouped by Geese PR entirely, still worth it tho!!!) 3) they got @allenginsbergofficial to write us a bio for the album, so that journalists on Tiki Taka don’t have to break their backs, just copy and paste! Thanks Alain! 🫡 4) “Fan engagement is a must” they told us. EASY: check out this pic top listener @j0shn0ble has of us on his fridge 🥰 WATCH OUT YEAR END LISTS WATCH OUT AWARDS SEASON WATCH OUT FOR CARS THEY ARE STILL THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE OF DEATH Thanks to everyone who made this possible, which was mainly just the pr team because who cares about how the sausage was made, how it tastes, smells, feels, or even if it is sausage right? 4.10 週五 @tearspa_ x @nectar_rrreeuq pres. Zora Jones and HYPNA 「從花蜜與眼淚中重生，溫柔的剛硬與柔韌的痛苦當作武器，殘暴的性感，高級的下流， 衝突的和諧，笑著哭，哭著跳，就當你這個夜晚最誠實的體悟。」

Cortical – Wretched Permutations and A Golem Blueprint reconstructs their grime-inflected industrial techno debut into immersive, high-tension soundscapes. Rhythms are stripped, rewired, and expanded — balancing visceral club energy with intricate sound design and structural interplay. Featuring remixes from Exploited Body, Flore, Klahrk, georg-i, unearth & HYPNA, the album moves through fractured 4/4, industrial DnB pressure and half-time mutations — shifting between weightless, hypnotic propulsion and dense, high-impact club intensity. @cortical_fm
