Our hearts are full.

Thank you to every single person who showed up to REVIVE. Whether you attended, donated, shared our event, volunteered, performed, or simply helped spread the word, you became part of something much bigger than a party.

Together, we stood in solidarity with Venezuela and proved that our community can come together when it matters most. Thanks to all of you, we were able to raise funds and collect essential supplies that will go directly toward helping those affected.

A special thank you to @hyprstudios for generously opening their space and allowing us to host the main event in such an incredible setting, and to @rootsandbeatsatl for welcoming us for the after and continuing to support the cause by letting us collect donations at the door. Your trust, hospitality, and commitment made it possible for us to extend the impact of REVIVE even further.

To our Venezuelan DJs, photographers, tattoo artist, volunteers, partners, and every person who believed in this cause: thank you for donating your time, your talent, and your heart.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing photos and updates of the donations, as well as where they are going, so everyone can follow the impact of what we accomplished together.

This event was a reminder that music has the power to unite people, create hope, and inspire action.

Another World Cup was around the corner, and I watched as countries dropped some of the hardest kits in history. But one country was noticeably missing and had been since 2014.

Iranian fans had spent years being treated like a market that wasn’t worth designing for. No one seemed interested in telling our story. We were either an afterthought, or we didn’t exist at all.

So I thought: why don’t I make it?

It was pretty far-fetched as I had never designed anything. But the more I questioned whether I was qualified, the more I thought “chera ke nah?”

I have spent most of my life in some type of jersey, from playing to refereeing. I know what it means to have a crest on your chest and have it represent something bigger than you.

I decided to full send. And I became obsessed.

For months, I poured everything into creating something that represented Iran the way I saw it and felt it. Something people could put on and genuinely feel proud to wear.

And if you were around me leading up to the World Cup, chances are you got recruited too. If you answered questions about Simurghs, looked at the 45th iteration of a crest, received random shipments, taught me what a tech pack was, or helped me figure out what came next - thank you.

At the start, I didn’t know how to do anything. I just knew what I wanted it to feel like, and I was incredibly lucky to have people who lent me their time, knowledge, talent, and belief.

And maybe that’s the most fitting part.

VATAN is about community, and community found its way into every part of creating it.

So proud to officially introduce @vatan__fc (a little late in true Persian fashion) My love letter to you, Iran, football, and the feeling of home.

There was a time when I questioned whether I should even be teaching yoga.

Who am I to teach? I don’t know everything. I make mistakes. I can’t even do a split.

Imposter syndrome had me believing I needed to be “good enough” before I could guide someone else through their practice.

But my perspective has shifted.

I’ve learned that there is something so beautiful about not knowing everything. About being a student forever. About making mistakes, staying curious, and allowing yourself to constantly grow.

Every day is an opportunity for me to deepen my own practice, not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. And one of my favorite parts of teaching is that I get to learn alongside my students.

I love taking classes at different studios with different teachers because every teacher has something new to offer. I’ll often take a small piece of a class that moved me (a cue, a sequence, a perspective, a moment) and weave it into my own teaching. Yoga is a practice of sharing, learning, and passing things forward. 🧘🏼‍♀️

The first 8 months of this year have been such a blessing. I’ve had the opportunity to share my practice, lead others through their own, and continue discovering what it means to be a teacher.

And honestly, the joy I feel when I see someone move, breathe, release, or simply find a moment of peace in my class is something I’ll never take for granted.

To my students: thank you for being alongside me on this journey. You remind me that teaching isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about creating a space where we can all continue to learn.

I hope that every time you step onto your mat with me, I can bring you even just a moment of peace, growth, clarity, or connection. ✨

Here’s to being a student forever. 🤍

Here’s to remembering that you don’t have to know everything to share what you do know.

REVIVE — A Fundraiser for Venezuela 🇻🇪

In the wake of two devastating earthquakes, followed by aftershocks, flooding, and a landslide, thousands of Venezuelan families have been left without shelter, basic necessities, and the support they urgently need.

On July 18, we’ll bring together 11 local Venezuelan DJs in solidarity with the Venezuelan people, using music to unite our community around a cause that is bigger than all of us.🙌🏻🫶🏻

100% of the event’s profit will be donated to verified organizations working directly with affected communities. We’ll also be collecting essential relief supplies throughout the event for those in need.🙏🏻♥️

Come dance. Come donate. Come stand with Venezuela. Our home needs us.🫂🫶🏻
