This Saturday we’re bringing a new kind of test to the frontier. Three blocks. One partner.
How far are you both willing to go?

We believe we are all stronger together. You get to push each other, challenge each other, and level up with each other.

HYROX Breakfast Club x Taste of Durus.
August 1, 8:30 AM at Squatch Frontier Fitness.

Had the opportunity to host a @hyroxamerica athlete panel with some legends here in ATX.

I closed it with one question:
What does the athlete identity mean to you?

You’ll hear their answers in the videos above.

My question for you is…
why can’t you claim that identity?

In my experience, when you do, it creates structure, builds consistency, and carries into your life as a whole.

You get healthier.
Your standards rise.
You find people on that same path.

Reclaim your power.

It’s not something you earn.
It’s something you choose to live.

I love being an athlete.

MY WHY
➡️ getting healthier (fitter)
➡️ doing hard things with the homies
➡️ getting my soul lit on fire 😜

What’s yours?

Everybody wants to feel part of something.

Very few are willing to invest in it.

The right people will bring more joy,
raise your standards,
and pick you up when you get knocked down.

Choose your people wisely.

@hyroxamerica Breakfast Club this Saturday. 8:30am. Athlete legend @erichinman joing us this week 🫡

James Clear says it well.
“Every action you take is a vote for the type of person you wish to become.”

That’s the beauty of training.

It’s a practice.

A place where you get to separate from past failures, mistakes, and choices. Step away from future problems that aren’t real.

And put yourself in pressure.

Because pressure reveals how you think.

Every rep becomes a chance to refine that thinking.
And align it with the person you wish to become.

Feel it all.

The support of your partner.
The energy of the room.
The edge of what you’re capable of.

Moments like this remind us it feels good to be alive.

Writing this after Squatch ROX (HYROX sim(ish)) feeling inspired by every athlete who showed up and gave their effort. Winners win.

Shoutout to our sponsors for helping elevate the environment, and to every athlete who stepped in and made the energy what it was.

This is how we win as a collective.
This is how we keep marching through life together.

And @igotaguy_dj brought the beatssssss 🎶

I’m deeply passionate about helping more people choose the athlete identity because, in many ways, it saved my life.

During my early depression years, it wasn’t that I suddenly identified as an athlete. I didn’t even know what that meant. But I did choose to be healthier. I chose to work out, eat better, build better routines. I was improving, but it was incremental.

It wasn’t until I found HYROX in 2021 that something really woke up inside me.

It made me more accountable to that identity.
It made me embody it.
It made me show up more consistently in my day-to-day life.

People can debate whether HYROX is a real sport.
They can debate who gets to call themselves an athlete and whether that title is reserved exclusively for elite professionals.

I honestly don’t care.

I care about the bigger picture.
I care about what choosing this identity does for us collectively.

We’re heading into a world where technology is only becoming more embedded in our daily lives. As it speeds us up, it fuels anxiety. As it pulls us apart, it creates more isolation.

The mental health crisis isn’t going anywhere.

I believe HYROX has been a powerful vehicle in addressing that. Not directly, not as a cure, but as a byproduct of creating a sport that’s inclusive and built around challenge and community.

It’s less about status or titles, and more about helping people build internal peace by building real self-worth.

And that becomes the bedrock of stronger individuals who can show up more grounded in the world.

So thank you, @hyroxamerica @hyroxworld @hyroxca

And thank you to the athletes who are speaking positively about this and inspiring others to step into challenge, to find their community, to claim that identity.

This is bigger than a race.

The mental health crisis isn’t going anywhere.
If anything, it’s going to accelerate with the advancement of technology and AI.

Jobs will be lost. That’s real.

Here’s what won’t change:

Men still need purpose and meaning.
They still need challenge and rites of passage.
They still need other men to lean on. To build with. To struggle beside.

Isolation doesn’t get solved by innovation.
One of its solvents is deeper connection.

That’s a big reason I care so much about @meninthearena_ and why I believe we need more spaces like this for men globally.

I was deeply honored to speak as an MC at @hyroxamerica and remind men that this is bigger than just a race. It’s shared struggle. It’s earned respect. It’s brotherhood.

Men need more rooms where they are seen, pushed, and supported.

If more men knew spaces like this existed, I believe we’d start changing the trajectory.

This changes that.

Squatch ROX is back in action.
🗓️ Saturday March 7th

If you’re new here, this is our hyrox sim(ish) test.

Our goal is simple:
➡️ Create an experience worthy of your time and energy.
➡️ Provide the environment for meeting like-minded peeps.

This is for the HYROX curious.
For the dopamine fiends.
For the friend group that keeps saying, “we should try this.”

Consider this your personal invitation.
