“Anything that helps your dog feel calmer when they’re alone is worth doing. Every little bit counts.” This isn’t the answer to everything but it’s helped Mano a little Dachshund I am working with at the moment . Mano is a dog that goes to the door. That’s where he feels he needs to be when his mum Emily is not home and that’s ok. However, we thought we would try putting a piece of her clothing near the door to see if having her scent near him helped take an edge off And it did. You can see by his body language …. Mano’s journey is still a work in progress but this has been a small win and small wins add up to bigger ones. Excuse the photo quality - this is from a home camera, but you can still tell that Mano is feeling more comfortable #separationanxiety #homealone #dogtrainers
