Y O G I E S S E N C E is where it all began. A homage. Inspired by a lineage of teachers and yogic studies since my late 20s, through a variety of NYC yoga studios before finally landing in a yoga shala in Woodstock NY where I currently teach @shaktiyogawoodstock.

YOGI is a complex blend of expansive deep earthy grassy notes with a richly herbaceous leafy floral finish to root you into the earth while lifting you up to the ethers.

So much gratitude to my sisterhood talents!! Community is everything.

💓Corrine @corrine.durand for the gorgeous photo shoot!

💓Edyta @i.wander.through for the beautiful cotton linen jacket, it’s one of my faves!

💓Renee @reneerotkopf for the gorgeous package and web design!

💓Join me for a special Solstice aromatic ritual with my esteemed teacher @jillianpransky on Friday June 20th! Link in bio, sign up and receive a special discount offer on YOGI Essence. 💫

Two years ago, I began working with the beautiful medicine of the Shipibo lineage—a privileged journey that has rooted me more deeply in my body, ancestry, and power. Much of this healing has unfolded on sacred Taíno land in Puerto Rico—land that still bears the scars of colonization and U.S. imperialism. And yet, despite it all, the land sings. Despite it all, the medicine remains. Because of it all, Indigenous cultures have held the line—for themselves, and for all of us—reminding us that all flourishing is mutual.

This is a love note. A reverent bow to the real ones.

In a world where colonialism shapeshifts—now draped in crystals, waving unethically-sourced sage—there are still sanctuaries of truth. Still keepers of integrity.

@finca_victoria is one of those sanctuaries. And @sylvia_demarco is one of those keepers. A revolutionary. A tender matriarch. A portal. Sylvia weaves ancient technologies of Ayurveda and sacred plant medicine into spaces that call us back home to ourselves.

And @kano_b_mai_name, who embodies the divine masculine, reminding us what protection, presence, and power feel like when rooted in service—not spectacle.

We’re living in a time of performative healing, spiritual bypassing, and commodified ceremony. When ancient practices become hashtags, sacred lands become “wellness” retreats, and individual healing is sold as something divorced from collective liberation. We’ve turned healing into an industrial complex, at worst, and a competitive sport at best—“My ego is smaller than your ego!”—as if transcendence could be purchased and won.

But the real medicine, as @BrandenCollinsworth writes, “is a descent… a river you wade through, not one you stand above.”

True healing is lineage. It’s sacrifice. It’s humility.

I’m forever in awe of the vessels—the alchemists—who hold this work with such care. Our healing is not a solo journey. Neither is our liberation.

As Lilla Watson told us:
“If you have come here to help me, you are wasting your time.
But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with mine,
then let us work together.”

Because we’re all just walking each other home. And together, we’re remembering the way.

✨⛰️🥰 THANK YOUUU @perchcottages @managethishome for our gift of two nights in the Cardinal Cottage. It truly became our home away from home. We could think of a better way to celebrate our friendship, love of nature and the nurturing effect of it all. Our mini-reunion was filled with so much joy, laughter, foraging (finding a first morel 🍄), homemade food, FUNNN, cold water dips, a temescal, and #earthday manadala/ wheel of joy…plus hiking, kaleidoscoping, games and the sweetest mountain sleeps! It is deeply appreciated. And highly recommended.

Even rain ☔️ could dampen our JOY! Here’s to loving our best lives. Daily.

The Gateway to Woodstock ~ @woodstockoutpost 🍵 🌀🫶🏼
~ so many delicious good connections and conversations and outpouring of love from last nights soft Opening here. Thank you is all I can say. You all made it really warm and inspiring.

~ I have many new artists to introduce here. All of which were hand selected and essentially just harmonious to what’s transpired so far. Including those that have signed up to teach.

~ here is a blip to showcase some of them :

• @treadwell.ny ~ a sweet sister company; a clean, elegant skin care line that I have been indulging in as of late 🤲🏼

• @tuetal.co ~ deeply layered, alchemically crafted cold processed soap. Handmade in small batches in the Catskills and has me obsessing over the earthy , fine and natural scents that fill up a room 🫶🏼

• @headspacemurals hand painted wood block art has already got some heady woodstockers bidding over the same piece 😉…as their perfect palette collects you right up and transports you far and wide 🎨

• @moon.rut rooted botanical tallow balms, exfoliants, salt scrubs allowing us to nurture the deepest parts. 🪴

• @edelishh hand painted cards will take you on a journey of nostalgia , beauty and whim, before you even write out a message to send to your favorite person 🤗

• @beewildcandles has delivered the finest collection of handmade beeswax candles that I have ever seen. They’re so precious and beautiful and make the best gift 💝

@mquanstudio fresh stock of hanging bells, garland, ribbon, and painted discs will have you already trying to outfit your second or third 😬 home into another dreamland 🏡

• @i.wander.through ~ the finest wearable and stylish small batch of reworked vintage and up cycled fabric will have you traveling overseas in no time 🐫

• @carlacolour ultra swank and appointed sunglasses rounds out the Outpost with color and style for days… 🏎️
