Beuchat - 1000 mètres « Marine Nationale - Centre d’Instruction Navale Saint-Mandrier » - 1 187 1 0 04 - ETA 2824-2 PA - 1993-1997 - 930XX / 17 A true French warrior… In the 1990s, the Beuchat 1000m was probably the only 1000m-rated dive watch issued to the French armed forces. The rare decommissioning papers describe it as a « Montre Plongeur Démineur »: a mine-clearance diver’s watch. The watch: - Ref. 1.187.1.0.04 - Steel case by MRP SA, approx. 42 mm, screw-down crown at 4 o’clock - Wide unidirectional notched steel bezel, 60-minute scale - Date at 3 o’clock - Swiss ETA 2824-2 automatic movement The caseback: - Diver logo, « Water Resistant 100 ATM / 1000M », « All Stainless Steel », « Swiss Made » - Reference 1.187.1.0.04 - Military marking « 930XX »: issued in 1993, followed by the issue number - A second two-digit engraving, « 17 », below the diver. This double marking is found on other 1993 pieces, and its exact meaning is still debated among collectors. The provenance thanks to @i_merlin13 : - Listed in the Marine Nationale « Registre pour la comptabilité des divers chapitres » - Certified copy of the register by Y. Pastre, watchmaker in Toulon - The register entry matches the caseback number and records the watch as assigned to the C.I.N. (Centre d’Instruction Navale) Saint-Mandrier A Marseille diving brand, a Swiss movement, a documented naval assignment, and a watch built to work underwater, not to sit on a desk. #Beuchat #MarineNationale #FrenchNavy #MilitaryWatch #DiveWatch ```

I honestly can’t think of another Sub I’d rather own. Maybe an MN one day, but this just does it for me. Shield or Crown, this is the one. Absolutely love it. 1976 Tudor Submariner 9411/0 ‘Snowflake’ fitted with a @true.dome D19 #tudorsnowflake #tudorsubmariner #94110 #watchfam

JB200 c1980s ORIGINAL 🎃 TRITIUM Full VINTAGE Set by JACQUES BIANCHI [extreme rarity] In 1974 ROLEX CERTIFIED Monsieur Jacques Bianchi as their official watchmaker in Marseille France 🇫🇷 Incredible how that singular decision would affect so many of us in the dive watch community today Marseille, a remarkable port city in the South of France is where underwater exploration began with the likes of COMEX SA , Jacques Cousteau, Albert Falco, Jacques Mayol just to mention a few Monsieur Jacques Bianchi not only serviced ALL of COMEX ‘s watches : Rolex Submariners to Sea-Dwellers from Rolex 5514 , 1680 , 16800 , 168000 , 16610 , 1665 , 16660 , 16600 as well as Omega ‘s Ploprof 166077 during those early years of research & development — he was fortunate to have gained such scholarship, & later produced his own watches utilizing & implementing all the design cues from the absolute industry leaders Jacques Bianchi found himself in the unique & auspicious position to have mastered all the aspects of these now iconic timepieces particularly pertaining to engineering and design: via luminosity, dial configurations, crown positions, bezels, cases et al ENTER… the original 1982 JB200 “destro” (left-sided) crown with iconic combat diver silhouette on the dial. Following its commercial release, it was officially issued by the French Navy (Marine Nationale) to its helicopter divers & combat swimmers later 1980s Estimates range from only 100 pieces produced, 60 going to MN, and only 40 commercially locally, to as much as 200 pcs This is that watch, amongst the few surviving with the most attractive Pumpkin 🎃 Tritium of the era, strikingly reminiscent to those early Rolex sub dials of the 5514 , 1680 , 1665 and the exact Pumpkin 🎃 Tritium tone on the original & pristine vintage Bakelite bezel & ‘Destro’ crown on the left, as well as three entirely mismatched highly legible hand profiles… reminiscent of the Omega Ploprof 167077 — Monsieur Bianchi nailed it! To the extent the design lives on today in his latest production #UpwellDiver ! We only have a couple of these ICONS left + JB300 Prototype 🔱 DM! #JB200 #atelierbianchi #jacquesbianchi #jacquesbianchimarseille
