Re-occurring hamstring strains?
-
Aside from strengthening weak hamstrings, strengthening the pelvic stabilizer muscles (glutes, adductors, hip flexors, and core) may help prevent subsequent hamstring strains.
-
If any of the pelvic stabilizers are weak or tight, the pelvis will compensate, and injuries can result. For example, one of the adductor muscles performs hip extension, which is a synergistic movement with the hamstrings. Essentially, if your hip extension is limited, your groin is probably weak.
-
Come see Brandon at @impactsportspt for all your musculoskeletal injuries/injury prevention screenings.

This is one of my EDDs I work on with my athletes to get in and out of cuts. As an offensive player you always want to get your feet moving. Running Backs, Receivers, and Quarterbacks this is a good drill to create separation from a defender in close space.
