This feedback means so much to me. 🤍

Jennifer and Anita trusted me with their faces. Working with deeper skin tones is about so much more than choosing the right shades it’s about understanding the skin, its undertones, and its unique needs. That’s why it means so much that they were genuinely happy and pleasantly surprised with the final result.

This shoot was about more than just makeup. It was the result of an incredible team effort, with each of us bringing our skills together to create beautiful images and an amazing atmosphere during Phototherapy by Epa. 💛

Thank you for your trust, your positive feedback, and the wonderful energy we shared. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do.

Every one of us brought something unique to this session, and together we created something we’re all proud of. 🤍

From the very first “hello,” we knew it was going to be a good day. 🤍

A little getting to know each other, lots of laughter, makeup, hair, a photoshoot and an interview all in such a great atmosphere.

We love days like this and the amazing people who make them so special. Thank you, girls, for the incredible energy! ✨

It was one of those days that flew by way too fast.

And this is just the beginning.❤️

It's not about clever questions or catching people out - the best interviews come from creating a space where people feel safe and able to share - and creating the energy at @wellbeingmediastudio recording my NEW limited edition show Get Naked (where psychology meets late night) with incredible inspiration @gorgeousfifties was @phototherapy_byepa (making us look and feel stunning) and strategist @iamanitapowell - New Show coming soon ❤️💯

What is it to be truly confident? People think if you LOOK confident you must be (often that’s an act and that’s why people experience imposter phenomenon…their inner belief isn’t matching the outer performance).
True, authentic, embodied confidence comes from 1. Knowing what you need to do and 2. That when you do it it’ll work!! BUT that doesn’t come from being told ‘smile’/‘be confident’ - it comes from a safe space to practice, to make mistakes, to be ACCEPTED and supported to improve… read more about my SPACE framework here: https://www.recruiter.co.uk/analysis/2026/05/hr-and-rise-human-centric-workplace #psychologist #burlesqueinstructor #confidence #businessauthor #leadershiptrainer Thank you @iamanitapowell for the BTS photos with @phototherapy_byepa

14th October 2020 was the day I dropped my first ever MWB podcast trailer.
🎙️
My mission was crystal clear. To put the menopausal experiences and stories of Black women front and centre. I was sick of feeling excluded from the conversation and I knew that I wasn’t alone.Black square Summer galvanised me. Silence was no longer an option.
🎙️
I bought a cheap microphone on eBay and still it sat in its box for four months until my pod homies @natlue and @thatkat encouraged me get on with it. I emailed 10 Black women I figured might be near the requisite stage and not one of them declined. So I threw myself at YouTube, taught myself to edit and found some lovely music online. I didn’t know what I was doing and honestly listening back to the first episode I cringe, but over time I developed a style of my own and grew into it.
🎙️
I LOVE the conversations, insight and knowledge that people have shared. Some episodes have felt like therapy to me and to my generous guests.
S1 segued into the next one. @beyongolia joined me to do proper editing halfway do proper editing halfway through S2 and l’ve been so grateful to her intuitive way of working and tech wizardary. At the end of S4 I thought I was done. I hadn’t expected to get that far. I was reassessing my life, the pandemic and post-menopause healing made me crave a radical life change. I sold my home and headed out of the capital towards the sea.
Then my eldest daughter @yaastudio saved me with her graphics magic and we added YouTube to S5.
Dream team achieved.
There are now over 80 episodes of MWB for you to listen back to and share with others. Newbies and oldies, there’s a story for us all.
🎙️
I could never have imagined the lives we’ve touched simply by speaking up and sharing ordinary stories of extraordinary Black women. This podcast has opened so many doors and such a rich depth of conversation I am forever grateful.
🎙️
The past year, from has taken its toll. From a personal and a financial perspective.
I am tired.
I can no longer continue putting my heart and soul, not to mention time, money and energy into the podcast without some changes.

I am delighted to share the latest additions to the Menopause Support ‘Understanding Menopause’ booklet translations library.

We have just added Urdu and Spanish to Polish, Welsh and English. You can find all of the pdfs via menopausesupport.co.uk in free resources.

Please do share with your friends, family and communities.

pdfs can be printed, downloaded and added to online resources. The links can be sent via text etc. Lots of GPs tell us they are sending the links to patients.

Paper booklets in English can be ordered by contacting hello@menopausesupport.co.uk
