09.07.26 - WEEKLY RESURRECTION: COVERS EDITION

This week’s covers run the gamut from bright retro pop and vintage advertising to haunting horror, surreal sci-fi and beautifully painted fantasy.

It’s an excellent week for covers. 🤘🏼😜🤘🏼

As a huge fan of @chrissamnee's Batman & Robin: Year One book and @iambradwalker, it was a real treat to color this variant cover for issue 4 of the new series.

I love the way Brad draws all of these characters. So dynamic and iconic. Just great stuff!

It is wild that the @dccomics artistic roster is so stacked that it takes me multiple posts just to share all of my favorite covers from their November solicits! So fun seeing all of these different takes on their iconic characters! Here’s a big batch from across the DC canvass. What’s going on your pull list?! #dccomics #justiceleague #comics #art #comicbooks

One of my favourite things we do after Metro on the Monday is spending time with the guests ( we are so busy it is difficult to find that time during the show) so we spend the day with amazing food and the most unique Aussie experience at Wild Action. In the evening we then take our international comic guests and go to visit the Addamo’s for dinner. It is always a fun and relaxed evening and I love seeing the guests eyes popping out of their head as they tour the awesome that is the Addamo’s home. It is always a wonderful time of yummy food and the best conversation and this year didn’t disappoint. Alex continued to be a brilliant host spoiling us all with dinner and dessert and Brad, Sharon and Bernard could have started for hours to chat all things nerd. Also having known Brad for 20 years it was just the best to get to hang with him and love my chosen family so much and you know Rands okay too. 😜#metrocomiccon #confam #comicartists #bradealker #bernardchang

Anyone who has ever been to our home knows how much we love art and I have been collecting comic art and sketches for 30+ years. Now we host a comic con again. I decided to start a new sketch book and this one will have a central theme of the Muppets. I was very blessed to have the first two sketches from one of my long term beloved friends Brad Walker who drew Cookie Monster and the Sam the Bald Eagle was drawn by the uber talented and kindest gentleman Bernard Chang. I can’t express how much I love this and can’t wait to add sketches from my fav Aussie artists and future internationals that we host. #sketchbook #comicart #themuppets #bradwalker #bernardchang
