Would you respond if Hinge said your ex texted you? These students from SCAD Atlanta want people to grapple with this question. It’s an interesting thought experiment, especially considering it’d only run for 24 hours to increase urgency and pressure. Written by Riya Shah (@riya.jpeg), art directed by Stella Braune (@stellabraune), and motion design by Monish Kapadia (@com_monish) at SCAD Atlanta @scaddotedu. Curious to see what this crew does after this one! Even tho it’s summer, and you’re not making campaigns, now is the perfect time to submit them for a feature!! Send hi-res assets and all media to ross@breakenterpod.com / DM @rosswhyross

One year ago today, Rossy (now Ross Why) released his first album: Milwaukee Made Me / Wisconsin Went Worldwide. “It marks a period of life when I really felt like I was beginning to figure things out. Of course, it’s a lifelong process. But the years this was worked on (2021–2024) marked the embarkment of a significant journey of discovering myself. “It’s full of contradictions, half-baked ideas, and that’s part of why it’s beautiful. Art isn’t about perfection, but about process and honesty. “The realization that Wisconsin’s not forever, but it did – in part – make me the man I am today. At the time of release, I had spent several years in Dallas, a summer in London, various other short stints globally, and I had ambitions of making it to New York to pursue my creative career and passions. “Not only is it the story of anyone who wants to fulfill their potential, but about the fuel that pushes them into that place.” – Ross Why Near the end of the work, in the summer of 2024, Fully Thrifted was born — the philosophy of repurposing what’s old and breathing new life into it.

Some Thoughts When I dropped Milwaukee Made Me / Wisconsin Went Worldwide last November, I was speaking a lot of things into existence. Ten months later, I’ve lived a lot of those words. A lot has changed, and a lot hasn’t. I’m still Ross, but no longer Rossy – I’m Ross Why. Some dreams I’ve caught, some I’m still chasing. And a lot of things I’m still figuring out. This video is part of that climb to the mountain peak, taking things one step at a time… because there’s no other way to do it. 🥴🤣 Thank you to people who helped bring this to life: edit: @timothyychae camera: @tyle.rchapman instrumental: @iambvrd words: me label: @fullythriftedmusic see y’all tonight at Ray’s. closing the set with this one.

On Friday, I released Milwaukee Made Me / Wisconsin Went Worldwide. This album has been in the making for over two years, recorded in various bedrooms, and shaped by the people and places that inspire me. From Milwaukee to wherever life takes me, these songs tell that story. This album marks the first release from my collective, Fully Thrifted (@fullythriftedmusic)—a group built on the ethos of reimagining what’s overlooked and giving it a fresh purpose, whether in music, art, or everyday life. Big thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this journey—whether you sparked an idea, shared your thoughts, or supported me along the way: Atreyo Chakrabarty @atrey0 Ben Klein @ben__klein Billy Garwell @billumzz Cameron Cawthorn @camcawthorn David Caplan David Yenerich Drake Mendicina @drake.mendicina Elizabeth Yenerich Greg Brownderville @gregbrownderville Guitar Center of Brookfield Jacob Webb @5pmtonowhere Jerome Kopecky Joe Webb @jwebb_7 Kailyn Sawhny @kailyn.sawhny Kenneth Pye @ken_pye Marko “Inc.” Gundrum @marko_incarnate Nathan Fielder @nathanfieldercat Phoebe Nygren @febehaze Reggie Richard Hermes Robin Colignon @iambvrd Santi Weiland @santitheshooter Taylor Smith @tbonesmith2002 Timmy Chae @timothyychae Tyler Chapman @tyle.rchapman Willie Baronet @williebaronet William Shanahan @will._.shan Your support means the world. I hope you enjoy the album. It’s available now on all digital streaming platforms—Spotify, Apple Music, and more. For the best experience, I recommend listening in order from start to finish. More music soon.
