LOOKING INTO THE PRESENT //

Join us as we step into the present with Rehearsal Director Dale Shields and Academy Director Sarah Hairston Berkeley, as they talk about the power of female choreographers and the importance of being a role model to younger ballerinas.

With a focus on the powerful feminine presence behind the scenes, Dale Shields explores how women have shaped the world of ballet into the dynamic art form it is today.

As Sarah Hairston Berkeley shares her experience working with the next generation of ballerinas, uncovering the importance of being role models for young girls and empowering them to become the next generation of trailblazers in the world of ballet.

Things have been so busy since we began our Academy year that I have not had a chance to announce 2 very exciting faculty members who have joined our team in the academy at Cincinnati Ballet. Jennifer Rutherford and Ihaiah Miller! Jennifer has joined us as Principal Faculty, Professional Training Division Coordinator and Ihaiah has joined us as Principal Faculty, Contemporary and Choreography. I could not be more excited to have these 2 on board with us to help train and nurture our future generations of dancers. Jennifer is a former dancer with New York City Ballet and has been a teacher in high demand across our city. I knew the minute I saw her in the studio teaching and mentoring these young dancers that she was the one to help push our program forward in the best and most positive of ways. Ihaiah Miller was a dancer with Dance Theatre of Harlem and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. Ihaiah is an incredible contemporary teacher and choreographer. I am so excited to see our students grow not only as contemporary dancers but also as choreographers. These additions are a dream come true. ❤️❤️❤️ @cincinnatiballet
