Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you’re all doing well. I’ve been sick and not cooking much lately but I’m finally starting to feel better. This flu is not a joke. I’m think about making a few changes to my instagram by merging my 2 pages permanently to make it a little simpler for me. Anyways what are you guys having for dinner today?

It’s a lazy kind of day for my baby boy. I’m talking lounging around in pjs and a robe all day and relaxing in bed. Best day ever.

My sweet baby boy found himself an Emotional support PINEAPPLE 🍍.
Backstory…when we go grocery shopping Jamie always wants a treat. It’s usually Hawaiian rolls or brioche buns. I pushed the cart over to the bread options as soon as we got there because I didn’t want the drama while shopping. But today he said “no”. I was like “ok buddy anything you say”. I proceeded with shopping and he starts acting up and pointing. So I tell my mom to walk with him to get the bread. Because the thing with Jamie is, he likes to take things on his own timing, not when given. They go and return with a PINEAPPLE 🍍. I was like what is going on here! He’s never eaten a pineapple and I have a slight allergy so I only buy them in summer to make juice. So we rarely have pineapple in the house. But he saw it, he liked it, we bought it and they’ve been inseparable since. I’m not even allowed to hold it. This pineapple has been to the potty, the play area and is now watching tv with him. I will not get between Jamie and his pineapple 🍍.

In wake of the devastation caused by hurricane Melissa in Jamaica, we have been reminiscing on our favorite moments there. This trip though it was a sad one, turned into such a blessing filled with nothing but happy memories and jokes that we will forever laugh at. Jamie got to experience my childhood home, meet some of my family members, try some new things. Even thoough I knew I had to get him his nuggets and fries 🤣. But Jamie and the beach became one. Instantly. We actually went to the beach every day.
Hurricane Melissa destroyed and displaced so much. Everywhere has become unrecognizable.
So many friends and family left without homes, food, water, and everyday items. Life was really ruined. We’ve started a GoFundMe to help support the people affected by hurricane Melissa. If you’d like to contribute it would be greatly appreciated. A place as special as this deserves to be preserved.

@dtr.foundation founded by @garoldhamilton has been on the ground working since day 1. Large non-profits are cool but small ones are able to serve the communities that would otherwise go unserved. That's where we come in. Through our partnership with DTR we will be able to reach the weak, the vulnerable, the overlooked, the forgotten.

It was important to me to partner with someone who knows all the areas well, who lives by integrity and who is motivated to make big impact with a small team.

We're building momentum.

We appreciate all the help you can give. Please click the link in my bio to donate either through our 501c nonprofit or through our gofundme that can accept donations as little as $5.

We're on a mission to keep people alive and to serve the underserved. Big aid goes to big communities. Our goal is to help the small communities of St. James and Westmoreland progress.

Thank you 💔 One Jamaica
