POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was honored to shoot this family session of a father and his children. We know how hard it is to gather our children when they leave our nest. Blessings @iamdavidjackson510 and children 🙏🏿 #photography #familyportraits #love #blacklove #familyphotography

The first round of distribution for families of color needing support during these trying times was nothing shy of amazing. Families came from different parts of the city to pickup a boost of joy for the holidays. Many of the recipients shared stories of job loss, cut hours, sick spouses, depressed children from stay at home school, and the list goes on. But, although many of the families had different circumstances, they aligned with a deep feeling of gratitude and thankfulness. Only because of you our members, partners, and community were we able to help to this degree. For your generosity, thoughtfulness, and kindness, I say thank you from the deepest part of my heart. We are distributing to more families this week.

Why Vote? My Vote? I Vote.

#WhyVoteMyVoteIVote

For the next few weeks leading up to the election on Nov 3rd we’ll be discussing the importance of voting, what happens when we vote, and what our future can potentially look like if we commit to speaking up and out!

This campaign highlights

1. Personal reasons why people in various demographics are choosing to vote this election

2. The impact and ripple effect of our individual voice for change

3. Commitments toward being the change we wish to see in the polls

We want to hear YOUR VOICE! So click the link in our bio to answer one question about what voting means to you. Your video will be shared with our community and might shift someones mindset about voting!

Our goal is to empower everyone who can vote to be better educated on what it actually means to vote and highlight real issues that are faced when we don’t vote.

As we create space for a conversation around our personal interests, we want to open the stage for everyone and show each other just how similar our beliefs can be.

Event: My Voice Matters 🥂⁣
⁣
To start our campaign, we're partnering with @crowdcast.io to engage in an experimental conversation with different organizations to discuss how we can hold ourselves accountable and make plans for how we can ensure what we vote for can still be worked on within our respective communities.

If you want to engage in the experience submit a video response here: https://www.videoask.com/fgnqkdqc2

To register for the event RSVP at: https://www.crowdcast.io/e/why-vote/register

I’m so proud of you - no need to show them - just show up and you will continue to come up - you took a path not travelled by many due to fears, wrong beliefs and just plain ignorance- don’t hold it against them they just needed to see someone make it first - that’s what leaders are made of. This is just the tip of the blessing for you - dream bigger than yourself God got it. C750 loading.

I am a BLACK MAN!..... I build .... I don't tear down other BLACK MEN! ....I have felt the pain of being torn down and I have decided I will be deliberate about building others! If I didn't tag you, please don't be offended. I tried to pick people I thought would do this challenge!! All too often, we men find it easier to criticize each other, instead of building each other up. With all the negativity going around let's do something positive!!🌟 Upload 1 picture of yourself...ONLY you. Then tag as many brothers to do the same. (IG only allows you to tag 20 but there are more great brothers). Let's build ourselves up, instead of tearing ourselves down. 💛💛 COPY AND PASTE 💛💛
If I tagged you, don't disappoint me!

⁣ “We need places in which we can gather and be free from the mainstream stereotypes and marginalization that permeate every other societal space we occupy… We need spaces where we can simply be.” - @kelsey722 ⁣

The Dismantle Collective will be hosting a virtual space for people of color to come together and connect. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Their intention we will be holding a place for any and all people of color to come to create virtual community care, exploring ways we can support one another regardless of where we are.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
A lot is happening in the world. With all the talk of the world “stopping,” we can see clearly that white supremacy and its manifestations certainly have not stopped. We know that in moments like these sometimes what we need most is community.
