Miles & Meditation… October got me checking the ingredients.

Is your encouragement nourishment… or sugar-coated manipulation from a game only you know you’re playing?

I’ve been blessed enough to know receiving ain’t the high anymore.

The high is giving somebody something I’m already used to… and watching their whole face change.

That’s wealth to me.

Not the receipt.
Not the credit.
Not making sure everybody knows who did it.

But abundance taught me something else too…

Everybody pouring into your cup ain’t trying to hydrate you.

Some feed you because they love seeing you full.
Some because they want a seat at the table.
Some clap because they believe in you.
Some clap because silence would expose them.

Trick or treat. 🎃

Daddy learned to taste the difference.

Access ain’t alignment.
Attention ain’t affection.
A gift ain’t always love.
Encouragement without pure intention can still be poison with pretty packaging.

But I’m still gon’ give.

That’s the flex.

I don’t have to become stingy because somebody else came with an agenda.

What flows from me says more about my abundance than their intentions ever could.

So this October…

Make sure the love you’re consuming has nutrients in it.

Too much sugar will have you addicted to something that was never feeding you.

You knew the crown… ain’t know what made him. 🥀

Some nights I still type the message. Then I pour up, delete it, and get back to being who you tell your friends you don’t miss.

Ps @djepps is the best wingman on stage to exist … @jlearec doesn’t count that’s home team 😂

They wanna know what I see in her… I told ’em the vision was never for everybody. 🥀

I don’t chase labels, I make ’em mean something. She wanted designer love, I told her Prada Me. 🖤

New frequency. Same expensive intentions.

Got my miles in… and the universe been talking LOUD. 🐍🌺

Late last night I crossed paths with a black & white king snake… then today the hummingbirds pulled up while I was in one of those immaculate vibrations.

Meditation gave me this:

Stop chasing blessings.

Because the moment you make yourself the chaser, you keep the blessing just far enough away for you to keep manifesting… the chase.

Some shit isn’t meant to be pursued forever.
At some point you gotta become the frequency that can hold it.

And understand this too…

Every blessing casts a shadow.

More light can mean more opinions.
More elevation can mean more jealousy.
More visibility can mean more misunderstanding.
More success can mean people creating versions of you in their head that you’ve never even met.

That doesn’t mean the blessing is wrong.

That’s polarity.

Black & white.
Shadow & light.
Same snake. 🐍

But don’t get so lost calling everybody jealous that your ego stops listening either.
Some criticism is projection…
some of it is information.

Wisdom is knowing the difference without letting either one move you off your square.

I’m learning I don’t have to chase what belongs in my field.

I cultivate.
I align.
I work.
I become.
I receive.

And when the hummingbirds show up… I remember to enjoy the sweetness too. 🌺

The shadow getting longer might just mean the light behind you got brighter.

4 miles. One download.

Childlike faith ain’t about being naive… it’s about remembering who you were before somebody taught you what side to take.

As a child, you watch Mom. You watch Dad. You study both worlds before the opinions, pain and programming start shaping your perspective.

What if the real advantage was staying Switzerland long enough to understand both?

Not choosing sides doesn’t mean you don’t see right and wrong. It means you refuse to inherit somebody else’s war before you’ve learned your own lesson.

Observe before you inherit.
Understand before you judge.

Sometimes growth ain’t learning more…
it’s unlearning who they told you to be mad at.

Don’t inherit the argument and miss the lesson. 🧿♟️

Chicago ain’t just where I’m from… it’s where my eye got trained. 🏙️

Before I knew what creative direction was, I knew how the city moved. How we dressed. How we ate. How the music hit. How the architecture made you look up. How the women around me made sure I looked deeper.

That’s the part they can’t download.

I came back home and realized a lot of what I thought I “learned” later in life was already planted in me here. Fashion was language. Music was memory. Food was communion. Art was everywhere. And the women who raised, corrected, challenged and educated me were curating the man before I ever knew I was becoming the artist.

Sometimes you gotta leave the crib, touch the world, then come back and see what home already gave you.

Chicago didn’t influence my taste.

Chicago taught me how to see.

Came home for my birthday and realized Chicago ain’t where I’m from… it’s where I was forged. 🦁

Last year I walked through Lion’s Gate in Hawaii looking at how big life could get… this year the portal brought me back to the South Side so I could see how far I already came.

Same city. Different frequency.

The Bean gave me reflections.
The rain gave me cleansing.
The skyline gave me perspective.
My tribe gave me love.
My mama gave me the reminder that before the world ever called me KING… somebody already knew who I was. ❤️

Funny thing about elevation… sometimes God don’t send you somewhere new.
Sometimes He send you back to the beginning just so the old streets can meet the new you.

I ain’t come home looking for validation.
Chicago already stamped me. 😈

Another trip around the sun.
More scars. More wisdom. More leverage. Less explaining.

Happy birthday to the nigga I had to become to keep every promise I made to the kid I used to be.

Sometimes God exposes you before He elevates you.

Not to embarrass you—
to excavate you.

Everybody wants the gold. Nobody wants the shovel.
Everybody wants the penthouse. Nobody checks the foundation.

You don’t pour new concrete on rotten soil.
You don’t cover decay without removing it.

So why do we dress broken confidence in designer clothes,
fill empty souls with money,
feed unhealed egos with followers,
and try to place love on unaddressed wounds?

You can decorate decay… but it always shows.

I don’t want to look complete. I want to be complete.

Dig deeper.
Break false foundations.
Remove what doesn’t belong.

Because when the next layer is poured,
I don’t want applause on top of collapse.

I want a kingdom that survives earthquakes.

Most chase the gold.
I’m becoming worthy of carrying it.

Different religion.
