I thought I was going to Miami for another CE course, but this was something else.

Sometimes you get so used to being the only one in the room that you forget that there are rooms made just for you.

Thank you to Dr. Amira and her incredible team for creating space for us. Shoutout to all the speakers for sharing their knowledge and then some! 🔥💎

This photo booth was a MVP of the retreat! I wish I could post every single picture.

Yet another thoughtful touch from @doctoramira
It’s in the details!

Last June, my graduate pics went viral. Many people loved them, but just as many people criticized them.

They called me ghetto and hood. They tried to discredit my intelligence and invalidate my accomplishments. 🙄 🍅🍅

They hate what they don’t understand. I Wore A Custom Grill To Pay Homage To My Southern Roots!! I chose to be creative and use my photos tell my story(Texas Forever Like BunB). 🤷🏽‍♀️

IYKYK🤞🏾

However, at the end of the day those who got it, got it!
Congratulations to the New Wave of Scholars 🎉

🗣THEY NOT LIKE US!!

HAPPY JUNETEENTH MONTH lol 🖤
