Child’s Play is streaming everywhere now 🔪🔪🔪

This is a song I wrote after a middle-aged guy from a band backstage at a festival questioned whether a ‘little girl’ deserved to be playing with the ‘real bands’.

I was deep in a vintage VHS horror phase (still am) and decided to make MAPLE a Chucky meets Monster High creation who isn’t afraid to swing a rusty cleaver in the direction of the haters.

When I was being bullied at school, I found writing down my feelings in a diary was helping me.

12 months ago today, when I was 14 years old I wrote this diary entry (pardon handwriting and spelling 😂) when my first song ‘lego’ started going off on Instagram and TikTok because of a silly Ring camera video I made with my friends for a song I wrote.

I wrote ‘Lego’ in my room on Garage Band on a $200 USB mic when I was being bullied relentlessly at school by a bunch of girls and although I was sad I wanted to write something that other kids who were dealing with bullying could listen to when they needed to fight back. I really want to thank @declol and @stivvyvan for helping me bring this to life. We even kept the original vocal cos I was so angry when I recorded it.

I’m honestly so grateful to every person out there who has liked a video, listened to the music or come to see a live show.

I’m now homeschooled and have found a community of super kind people who all lift each other up. To the girls at school who decided to pick on me, thanks for the inspo Queens 😂

On Monday, I’m dropping the first teaser of the new @maplespetdinosaur era- it’s fun, fresh and fierce and I’m super pumped to show you all the evolution of my songwriting.
