Life gave me lemons, I made pasta!
To be in this moment, blessed is an understatement. Who would have thought I’d be a chef. From graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelors of science of public health, to transitioning into motherhood. Who would’ve known?! God did. It’s bigger than me. And this is why this run is THAT personal. Since I’ve touch this Earth, I’ve beat many odds. My upbringing of not having both parents, having to fight against what others had planned for me in their minds, every moment shaping me. All of the support I’ve gotten through cooking is so special to me. The ones who only cheer after seeing the fruits of my labor. The ones who see things in me before I see them in myself. I thank you for it all. As I’m navigating through life, I know more and more that believing in yourself is going to take you places you never knew you could go. Id be lying if I said the belief in yourself was easy, betting on yourself, and getting back up after numerous No’s and failed attempts. But that’s what it’s really about. Taking those risks and knowing those big dreams are actually attainable.

So when life gives you lemons, what are you going to make?
