I never wanted to sound like anybody else. Ever since I started writing songs I wanted to be intentional & timeless.

The day before recording 'CHAPTER II' I was reading @itstonybennett's book "Just Getting Started" & there was a passage where he stated all singers owe Bing Crosby the art of making singing something intimate & conversational, because he was the first to understand that a microphone allows you to put your voice next to people's ears without having to puff out your chest & let fly to reach the back of the house.

That line completely changed my performance of 'CHAPTER II' the next day & forever transformed the way I arrange vocals.

Something you probably 🚫 shouldn't know about my song 'FREE TIME' is that I wrote it with @imcharliewilson in mind to record it.

Back in the day I had a music industry acquaintance who helped me get my early demo to the desks of several music management agencies, in hopes that they could help me get a hold of Mr. Wilson's management.

After failing to reach Uncle Charlie, Azhmir Vangort rearranged it to be the lead single of my album 'IRREPLACEABLE' & the rest is history.

Four Awards later 'FREE TIME' became my signature song & its video—directed by @marleneguerin—became my most emblematic visual to date.

'FREE TIME' is one of my most rotated songs & its timeless, breezy sound helped me secure a Nomination for Best R&B/Soul Artist at the 2026 @monstermusicawards which will take place on December 7th.

Have you heard 'FREE TIME'?
Do you think it deserves to earn me the Monster Award win?

I AM OFFICIALLY a NOMINEE @monstermusicawards!

Support me by writing "𝗠𝘆 𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻" in the comment section of the Facebook link @iamianguerin EVERYDAY (multiple times a day) from TODAY till JULY 20th & repost.

R&B has been part of me ever since I was little.

I remember discovering @michaeljackson's 'Invincible' album, @mariahcarey's 'The Emancipation of Mimi' & @prince's '3121' & thinking to myself: "I want to be like them, write songs like theirs, make people feel like they make me feel."

A few years later, I discovered the outstanding catalogs of @itstonybennett, @imcharliewilson, Keyshia Cole, Stevie Wonder & @janetjackson—whose R&B charged album 'Damita Jo' led me to discover @musicbykem, James Brown, Bobby Womack, Ray Charles, Joe Thomas & Justin Timberlake.

In 2019 I had the privilege of crossing over to R&B by releasing my album 'IRREPLACEABLE'.

Immediately after its release, 'Cry', 'Free Time', 'A Different Affair', 'The Place', 'Feature in Your Life', my Christmas single 'For the Holidays' & the title track 'Irreplaceable' became my signature tracks.

"He's not your standard modern artist." – Klef Notes

Nowadays, songs like my personal favourite 'One World Apart', 'We're All Broken Hearts', 'A Child from Planet Earth' & 'Human Bright' help carry my legacy recording dreams.
