She's Choosing a Career AI Can't Take — Jada Fitch — Ep. 32

She's already thinking three moves ahead. 📊

Jada Fitch hasn't even crossed the stage yet and she's got the plan mapped: 🎓

✅ Bachelor's at Prairie View A&M
✅ Master's in finance or accounting
✅ Working toward her CFA
✅ Eyes on forensic finance

But listen to the part that stopped me. 🔥

She said the business professionals she's met at internships, career fairs and conferences keep telling students the same thing: build a career that can't be easily taken over by AI. 🤖

Her answer to that? Sharpen EVERYTHING. Technical skills. Analytical skills. People skills. Soft skills. Hard skills. All of it matters. ✊🏾

And the why behind it all: "I just want to do meaningful work… something where I can put it back into the community." 💜💛

That's a whole future leader right there.

What She'd Tell Her Freshman Self — Jada Fitch — Ep. 32

Sometimes the person you have to learn to believe in first… is you. 🙏🏾

I asked Jada Fitch what she'd tell herself freshman year. Her answer was simple and it was honest:

Trust yourself. Don't doubt your limits. ✊🏾

She said she's proud of herself just for taking the opportunities — for stepping outside her comfort zone even when it wasn't easy. Because that's where the growth is. 🌱

And she kept it real about the hard part too. Juggling school and your personal life is a lot. Some days are heavy.

Her word for that? "Take it easy… but keep pushing and persevering." 💜💛

Grace and grit at the same time. That's wisdom right there. 🎓

Football or the Band? — Jada Fitch — Ep. 32

Let's be honest, family. 🎺

Half of us have never seen a single down of football at homecoming. We're there at halftime. That's the whole event. 😂

So I put Jada Fitch on the spot: at a Prairie View game, are you watching the football or the band?

She paused. She weighed it. She knew people were watching. 👀

Verdict: the band. Every time. 💜💛

"Prairie View's band is that one. They're all talented."

Shout out to the @themarchingstorm and to TT, the band director 🔥

And she gave the football team their credit too — said they've gotten good. All love. All jokes. ✊🏾

There Is No Dull Day at Prairie View A&M — Jada Fitch — Ep. 32

This is a REGULAR day at an HBCU. 💜💛

Sunrise over the Hill, and Jada Fitch is out there walking or running before class. 🌅

Student government elections happening this week — everybody outside campaigning. "Vote for me, freshman class! Sophomore class! Junior class! Senior class!" 🗳️

Career fair going on the SAME day — companies came all the way down to Prairie View to recruit. 💼

Students everywhere, representing that Panther Excellence. 🐾

Her words: "I can never say it's a dull day. I truly take pride in attending my school." 🔥

THAT'S the HBCU experience. ✊🏾

Two Summers at Kaiser Permanente — Jada Fitch — Ep. 32

Sophomore year. First internship. Kaiser Permanente. 💼

And Jada Fitch wasn't fetching coffee — she was working SOX PMO under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, making sure a major company's financials were correct under SEC requirements. 📊

They liked her so much they brought her back the next summer. Different team. Program office regulatory reporting. Financial reporting on deadline. In the room with executives. 🔥

But here's the part that separates her:

On her own, she set up meetings with people OUTSIDE the organization — just to ask about their career journeys and learn from them. Nobody told her to do that. 🎓

That's how you build a career before you even graduate. ✊🏾

🚨 NEW EPISODE ALERT 🚨

From the Bay Area to Prairie View A&M — Jada Fitch — Ep. 32

"Do nursing. Do doctor. Do doctor." 🩺

That's what Jada Fitch kept hearing from family.

But Jada knew she had a business mind. 💰📊

So instead of staying close to home in California, she crossed state lines, came to Texas, and found her home on the Hill at Prairie View A&M University. 💜💛

Now she's a senior double majoring in finance and accounting — building real-world experience through internships, showing up at career fairs, connecting with mentors, and learning how to make smarter financial decisions. 🎓💼

But this conversation goes deeper.

Jada gets real about stepping outside her comfort zone, trusting herself, getting through a difficult semester, learning from failure, and continuing to push forward.

And she has a message for high school students thinking about an HBCU:

Take the opportunity. Trust yourself. Go see what's out there. 🔥

🤝🏾 This episode is extra special because it's in collaboration with The Blerd Academy, founded by Douglass Fort — the person who first opened Jada's eyes to the world of HBCUs. 🖤

Parents, students, counselors — this one is for you. Watch the full episode now. 🔗 Link in bio.

I Never Heard of HBCU Magic Until That Day — Jada Fitch — Ep. 32

One guest speaker. One assembly. One decision to get on that plane. 🔥

Junior year of high school, Jada Fitch was one of the only Black students at her school in the Bay. Then her career counselor brought in a special guest… Douglass Fort… and he broke down HBCU magic in a way she had never heard in her life.

He didn't just tell her about it. He told her to go SEE it. Get on the plane. Step out of California. Step out of your comfort zone. ✊🏾

That one moment sent her all the way to Prairie View A&M. 🎓

This episode is in collaboration with The Blerd Academy, founded by Douglass Fort.

Full episode drops soon.
