2 of my favorite things are 1) watching make friends the art that feels like they were transported to earth to make, and 2) finding a local gem I never knew about.

I got both this week when @levistpetree invited me to watch his band The Radio Publica's music video for their song eyes so blue (which is not available on instagram but it is on spotify!). Hi concept, low production cost, total commitment to the bit, so delightful.

(Plus, I was delighted when they announced we were going to watcha beautiful short film by @robertflowerstv - always great to see you!)

I found out that there is a free local shorts screening held monthly down the road for me that I didn't even know about. Sweet!

@nightofshortsnight is every first tuesday of the month at @theformosa Cafe. Check it out.

My takeaways:
-Invite your friends even if it's last minute. They might come and have a great time.
- look for the local events at the places you already go
- make the low budget thing that is totally your voice, because it's exactly what someone wants to see
- the shorter your show, the more likely I am to come

Good shorts. Good people. I'm a fan.

4 Tony nominations for Titanique! 🏆🏆🏆

What does Nicholas Connell, nominated for his work as the orchestrator! arranger! and music supervisor! have to say about his preferences in pop music? Because he's clearly the expert!

Throwing it back to episode 2 of creators Cafe with the extraordinarily talented Nicholas Connell in honor of his wildly successful Broadway run.

Watch out episode on YouTube or listen on your favorite podcast app.

Then catch him at a piano bar and request your favorite Brittany song! 🍸🎹💙

(Congratulations my friend!, and way to embody the power of creating something joyful with and for the ones you care about!

The always delightful Jacob Smith and I chew on how to take your craft seriously and yourself silly-ly.

From Creator's Cafe episode 36, available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/-REkrvZm8Us and all major podcasting platforms

My guest is Jacob Smith, an audio expert who lives in Las Vegas and hails from Louisiana. Jacob is a dear friend, but we'll get into that in a second. If you've been to Vegas, there's a very good chance that you've heard a space that Jacob has set up the audio for, or might even be running right now. Jacob is the head of audio for Absinthe, one of the biggest and best shows in Vegas for years.

It's at Caesars Palace. It's incredible. Check it out. He's also done the audio for the same company's production of Rose Rabbit Lie and the burlesque show by Holly Madison called Peep Show, along with the Vegas residency of Spamalot. Jacob's work has been on Broadway, on tours, and all over Vegas, and he's a voice on two major podcasts as well: Ice Cream Social and Pod Therapy.
