“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times”...and all the times in between. Life’s uphill climbs and downhill hurdles can leave us feeling at the mercy of our circumstances. Want some good news? Our hope has never been meant to be tied to our situation, rather tied to the One who is the same yesterday, today, and forever: Jesus Christ. Whether you get that dream job or get laid off; whether the diagnoses comes back clean bill of health or all your fears manifested; whether you got everything you thought you wanted or all your worst nightmares came true...HE IS STILL THE SAME. Still faithful. Still working. And heads up, this life doesn’t last very long, it’s really just a vapour. And I’ve found in my life that losing things that I think I need, painful though it is (“scars come with the journey”) actually have a way of snipping those strings of dependence tying me to the temporary. They have a way of showing me Who I actually needed all along. And when you start to really get this, you start to realize that ALL times can be good times. That you’ve finally arrived. And just knowing how you made it this far might even get you smiling, in the midst of it all.

I was reluctant to share this on a “business” account as I like to keep my personal life more private nowadays, but I realize this coincides beautifully with my passion and the backbone to what I do.

From the first two weeks of meeting him, I knew that he was the one. While I truly believe that he is a part of God’s plan for me, there are some key characteristics that makes “us” effortless.

- Not blaming the outside world (or each other) for mishaps.
- ACTIVE LISTENING - this isn’t just with your ears, this is with all of your senses.
- MY PILLAR - as a female with a cycle and a roller coaster of hormones, Joseph HOLLLDDSSS the fort down. Exactly what, in my opinion, a man needs to do for us women.
- Give and take - There is balance in how we show up for each other, and because of this, we feel we can give our whole heart.
- Saying, “I’m sorry”. Not “I’m sorry you feel that way.” Unfortunately, at least in my time on earth, it’s hard to come by humans that can put their ego aside.
- Making little sacrifices - Realizing we can’t have it all and deciding what’s important. Often this will come with sacrifices.

Our society tries to tell us that money can buy happiness but its healthy relationships that bring us PEACE.

On top of him being amazing and planning this, he had the help of friends and family and this meant the world. This was such a perfect day.

I’m excited and feel so much peace.
