I didn’t know how much I would need a village.

Before becoming a mother, I thought I was preparing for birth.

I didn’t know how much would change after.

My body.
My identity.
My relationships.
My whole world.

And I didn’t know how much I would need other women to hold me while I learned how to hold someone else.

Having experienced that support myself, I knew I wanted to create it for other mothers, too.

This is why I believe in the village.

And why I created The Mama Village. 🤍

I had a village. And I want every mother to have one too.

When I became a mother, I experienced something that changed me forever.

I wasn’t meant to do it all alone.

I had people who showed up.
Who brought food.
Who listened.
Who reminded me that asking for help wasn’t a weakness.

That experience stayed with me.

Because I know that not every mother has that kind of support.

Too many women are expected to navigate pregnancy, birth and postpartum on their own.

That is one of the reasons The Mama Village exists.

Not because every journey looks the same.

But because every mother deserves to feel held, supported and connected.

We’re not just building a platform.

We’re rebuilding a village. 🤍

Doula trainings are growing around the world and that’s a beautiful thing.

More and more people feel called to support mothers and families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.

But what happens after the training?

Many doulas leave with valuable knowledge and a deep passion for this work, yet still find themselves asking:

How do I find families?

How do I build a sustainable practice?

Who do I turn to for support and exchange?

How do I grow in this work over time?

Because while training teaches skills, many doulas still long for community, mentorship, connection, and opportunities to put their gifts into practice.

At The Mama Village, we believe that training is just the beginning.

We’re here to help rebuild the village. For mothers, families, and the people who support them.

🤍

What did you need most after your training?

Little Mama Village update 🤍

The village is slowly taking more and more shape and it’s so beautiful to see how many wonderful women are already becoming part of it.

A growing network of doulas, bodyworkers, therapists and women supporting mothers and families with so much heart.

The vision behind Mama Village is to create more connection, community and real support in motherhood.

While we are currently starting mainly in Switzerland, the vision is also slowly growing internationally. 🤍

There are possibilities to be part of the village both locally and online.

Everything is still in the building phase, but the vision is becoming more real step by step.✨

If you feel connected to this vision or work with mothers yourself, we’d love to hear from you.

The Mama Village was never meant to be only a support platform.

The bigger vision has always been about connection.

A growing global network where mothers and support providers can find each other, collaborate, learn, create community and feel supported — both online and eventually also in real life.

Because motherhood was never meant to happen in isolation.

This is about rebuilding the village, together 🤍

Being pregnant alongside other women,
sharing this phase, feeling understood —
this is something we’re naturally meant to have.

And yet, for many, it’s missing.

Especially after birth,
when support becomes even more important.

The Mama Village is about bringing that feeling back —
not just as community,
but as real, ongoing support. 🤍

This is where it deepened for me.

In the quiet moments.
In the closeness.
In being held — not just by my baby, but by other women.

I didn’t have to do it alone.

I was supported.
Nourished.
Seen.

And it showed me what motherhood can feel like when a village is truly there.

Because this is how it was always meant to be.

Not isolated.
Not overwhelming.
But held, together.

And I know not every mother gets to experience this.

That’s why I’m building The Mama Village.

So more women can feel supported in this way.
So care becomes something we return to — not something we have to search for.

This is just the beginning… 🤍

If this speaks to you, you’re so welcome here.
