Introducing KING 👑

Rich woods. Warm amber. A little citrus to keep it smooth. King was custom blended for a man who wanted that mahogany-teakwood kind of energy—clean, grounded, masculine, and effortlessly sexy.

Cedarwood • Sandalwood • Oud • Amber • Bergamot • Frankincense • Brazilian Orange • Vanilla

Because sometimes the scent doesn’t need a fancy name. He said King, so KING it is. 👑

I am still basking in the glow of this. Yesterday I had the enormous honor to be a part of the historic opening of the @lucasmuseum . I was selected to be a member of a 100-person choir and sing alongside Pharrell Williams‘ @voicesoffire with THEE @jonbatiste on piano at the star-studded gala to celebrate this incredible space that will now be a fixture in this incredible city that I call home.

Honestly I’ve had to keep pinching myself because what do you meannn this girl from a tiny boondock town in the middle of NOWHERE is singing in front of Oprah, Queen Latifah, Spike Lee, Steven Spielberg, and so many more of the biggest stars in Hollywood? What do you meannn I get to share the stage with some of the most gifted vocalists in Los Angeles? I am beyond grateful. Special thank you to @iamkingatg_ @ronald.b.taylor.7 @gabepigee and @joecoblaze for bringing me in and trusting me with this opportunity.

It is also not lost on me that the biggest strides in my career have been made since I started really getting involved with worship music. I’ve been working on this music thing for a long time but I feel like everything has truly begun to become aligned since I allowed myself to be used by the spirit. I am so specifically grateful to God for ordering my steps and allowing me to continue to pursue and live in my purpose. All glory be to the one who makes a way out of no way 🙏💛 #lucasmuseumofnarrativeart #vocalist #gospel #pharrelwilliams #hollywood

Whheeeewww! What an honor! @lucasmuseum @mellodyhobson @georgelucasofficial you have created quite the space for art to be received, consumed, & enjoyed. I'm so honored to have been chosen to celebrate the opening ceremony of The Lucas Museum of Narrative Arts. To also be a black woman from Chicago in the creative spaces of the world, it's truly a blessing to feel welcomed.

Sooooo many faces were in the place, soooo much art and wonder.

Special Thank Yous also go out to THEE @joecoblaze , @gabepigee , @pharrell & @voicesoffire , @iamkingatg_ , @jonbatiste & to everyone who sees and are apart of the vision. 🦋🦋

There’s always a WORD in the song AMEN! 😂💪🏾🙌🏽 @im_erik_b started up a gospel remix to Brandy’s “Right Here Departed” and we as the congregation joined right on in!

HE’LL BE RIGHT HERE WITH MEH!!!!😭🙌🏽

Shedding to Brandy’s “Right Here” was fun but challenging!

One of the hardest parts of taking a studio BGV arrangement LIVE is remembering one very important thing: WE HAVE TO BREATHE. 😂

Studio vocals can be layered, punched in, stacked, and pieced together. Live? You better arrange those parts so actual humans can sing them from beginning to end. 😂

So in this clip, you’ll see us working out those UHs, OHs, breaths, placements, and all the little details that make the arrangement work LIVE.

And of course… because this group is full of jokesters there was A LOT of laughing. 😂

But we got the job done. And by the end? FLAWLESS. 🎤🔥

We love to end our sessions with a little movement/choreo. We want our bodies conditioned to move while we sing, that’s important for the Pros! 🎤🔥

Join us on TikTok LIVE Thursdays from 7:30-9:30pm PST for our PRO BGV SHED SESSIONS 🔥🔥🎤

That’s ear training.
That’s teamwork.
That’s learning how to listen to the people around you and make adjustments in real time.

We’re not just learning songs. We’re learning how to work TOGETHER.

That’s Pro BGV Shed Sessions🔥🎤💪🏾
