Man it has been a tough week for me. I’ve been in deep thought, Denial, disbelief and just miscombobulated all the way around. I had to say goodbye to a very good friend that I’ve known for over 18 years and had the pleasure to share some very great Life moments with. I still remember like it was yesterday when my nigga Que brought me to Virginia and introduced me to all of his friends and family. One person stood out amongst them all, and that was Cory Tatem. He and I Instantly clicked the first moment we met and we’ve been brothers ever since. When I first touched down I didn’t have a car to get around and I didn’t really know anybody so Cory would call me everyday and say, “What’s good bro? I know you don’t feel like sitting in that house being bored and shit” and I would say “Naw Im good bro I’m just chillin, He would then say “Fuck that, I’m on the way to pick you up so we can roll out and get into some shit. I just didn’t like to be a burden on nobody, so when I would tell him naw I’m good, he already knew that I really did want to get out of the house and explore Virginia so he would just show up anyway. We must have pulled up in every hood Virginia had to offer, and me being from LA I would be like “Where the hell you got me at bro? He would laugh and say “ You good Ace, just relax, you with a real Norfolk Nigga right now, you ain’t got nothing to worry about. We went drove all around the 7 cities acting a damn fool. We’ve both come come a loooooong way, from being a super players with multiple women to settling down with the women of our dreams. Whenever we hung out, @mrstatem2013 would be mentioned in every conversation. He would say things like “I finally found my soulmate man & Im going to marry that girl one day and then that day came & I was blessed enough to be one of the groomsman in their wedding. After that; all he would talk about is how much he loves his Wife and how this is it for him, he would say “I don’t even need to look at other women because I’m good bro, that’s my babe. I’m going to really miss my friend. Iris please know that you are a sister to Kim & I and we love you & you will not go through these tough times alone. 💯
