Yesterday reminded me why I love this work so much! I had the pleasure of facilitating a gentle yoga flow and sound bath for a beautiful group of women gathered for their Yoga, Wellness & Wine event—an afternoon centered around sisterhood, friendship, support and simply being together. I came to teach, but I left feeling poured into, too 😭 Listening to their stories and seeing friendships that have grown, shifted and endured through so many seasons of life was genuinely inspiring. There was so much love and history in the room, and I didn’t realize how much I needed that kind of fellowship myself until I was in the middle of it. (I miss my friends that have moved away all the time). And I especially loved how engaged everyone was in the yoga practice! Different bodies, different abilities, different levels of experience…and everyone simply met themselves where they were. They asked questions, explored the movement, laughed, breathed and allowed themselves to be present. One of my favorite parts of teaching yoga is showing people that the practice can meet you exactly where you are. Thank you, @iammimi.co , for trusting me to hold this portion of such a special gathering. And thank you to all of the ladies for welcoming me so warmly. I arrived to facilitate your wellness experience and somehow left feeling a little lighter, fuller and renewed myself. More of this, please🙏🏾 #ChicagoYoga #ChicagoWellness #womenswellness #SoundBath #sisterhood
