Kicking off my Monday @atlantatechweek w my team @iammjessical @riceatlanta sessions! In 2024 I opened my tech division as an extension to my company offerings. I did so because … I will be telling the whole story this week. I’m super grateful to Atlanta Tech Week and @renderatl for approving my @girlgobegreatco Tech Event as an official event and @renderatl as a Community Partner. My event has officially Sold Out!

We encourage you to join waitlist because I may create an evening or next day session.
My event is for the Black woman who’s been rethinking the entrepreneur life — navigating job loss, income disruption, and the economic uncertainty rippling across the U.S.

And if she’s been quietly dreaming of using AI in her business, but not sure she belonged in the tech conversation.

The ugly truth is these tech giants are moving at breaking speed and many of the jobs most exposed to this shift are held by women. Educated, capable, hard-working women.

I’ve spent 26 years walking women through hard seasons, and here’s what I know for certain: the women who win in uncertain times aren’t the ones with the most money or the smoothest path. They’re the ones willing to learn the new thing before they feel ready. Every single time. And right now, the new thing is tech — and I didn’t look nothing like your typical tech entrepreneur! I’m 56 now and have successfully built my newest tech product which I tested and helped beauty experts @beautyexpojam hosted by the brilliant business woman @suzettesparkbrown with my intetnational event planner guru @keishapintoevents!

I’m here and ready to help change the game for women in the entrepreneurial space or dreaming of .. that are underserved and underbanked to break through the tech jargon use these tools to profit. I believe entrepreneurship & tech can educate women on defeating poverty. A strong conviction of mine. 🌱🖤

Yesterday, I attended a Black Women’s Roundtable at the Georgia State House on the opening day of Georgia’s legislative session. Black women from across the state convened for Black Women U3: United. Unapologetic. Unstoppable. We gathered on the House side, while women were also seated on the Senate side at the beginning.

The program opened with Miss Georgia singing and playing the violin to “Georgia” by Ray Charles. The Speaker of the House then spoke about the renovations and a return to the “glory days.” I remember looking around—and many of the Black women in the room looked at one another—because we felt the weight of that statement differently in this moment.

At the luncheon, I was the last person to step to the mic. I asked a series of brief questions to the gracious @statereprhondaburnough who stayed to the very end to answer questions and was a part of the panel of Black Women who have served powerfully in the House.

—you could feel our rally cry. The destabilization of Black women in America as we know it today: economically, professionally, and socially is a reality.

That experience stayed with me, all night until bed and when I awoke today and it clarified something important.

In moments like this, we cannot afford isolation, confusion, or silence. We need rooms where Black women can gather, speak honestly, access strategy, and leave prepared—not panicked. While we often say we’re not political, this is a political moment—one that directly impacts our economic stability, security, and future.

Milestones. I’ve been walking barefoot, head scarfing it while I leaned into many weeks of therapy and accepting the things I could not change by changing the things I could. I unlearned while I learned. I celebrate 8 months of caregiving for my husband through his transformative experience of limb loss. November 2024!

So much to say .. but for now I want to thank my husband @pelzer2023 for the 5 ounces of love he gave me back when he only had a ounce, my daughter @iammjessical for 2 ounces when she only had a bit herself… a team that gave 10 ounces of unwavering support, all from a place of deep love & respect for me and what in called to in the world… they’ve uplifted me to a new finishline. 🖤 🇺🇸 🇰🇪 🇳🇪 🇨🇦
