Three years ago today, The Murder Inc Story dropped on @BET — five episodes that pulled back the curtain on one of the most infamous and influential movements in hip-hop history. I had the honor of serving as Director and Producer for all five — a responsibility that, for a kid from Oakland, was the shot of a lifetime.

And here’s the wild part — this date has always been special. It’s the birthday of my late grandmother Peggy, whose love, and wisdom and legacy inspires everything that I do. It’s also the same day, nine years ago, that I launched my company, CSUITEMUSIC— built from nothing but a vision, hustle, and faith.

The late GREAT Irv Gotti’s story is about more than just music — it’s about vision, resilience, and building something legendary when the world doubts you. Telling that story felt like destiny — like all the roads, from the Bay to New York, from my grandmother’s living room to the BET screen, were leading to this moment.

Every frame was a reminder: your circumstances don’t define you — your grind, your purpose, and the people who believe in you do.
