💚💜 👟✨💫Together, We Took Steps Toward a Healthier Community. 💜💚✨💫

Throughout the month of July, 35 incredible participants came together with one shared purpose—to prioritize their health and well-being, support one another, and take meaningful steps toward healthier living.

This initiative was created with working professionals in mind because we understand how difficult it can be to make yourself a priority.

Between demanding careers, meetings, long commutes, family responsibilities, the July heat wave, periods of heavy rain, poor air quality, and the many demands of everyday life, our participants continued to show up—for themselves and for one another.

And because of that commitment…

🥾 6,648,073 total steps
🏆 147% of our goal achieved

We didn’t just reach our goal—we exceeded it.

Together, our community took more than 6.6 million steps toward healthier lives.

This wasn’t about being the fastest or walking the furthest. It was about making intentional choices to invest in your health—even when life was busy and the conditions weren’t always ideal.

Every lunch break walk.
Every evening stroll.
Every walk before work.
Every walk after work.
Every single step mattered.

To each of our participants, thank you for believing in this vision and helping make the Tree of HEARTS Walk to Wellness Initiative such a meaningful success.

At Tree of HEARTS, we believe healthier communities begin with healthier people. Together, we proved that when people are encouraged, supported, and connected, meaningful change is possible—one step at a time.

While our July Walk to Wellness Initiative has come to an end, our commitment to healthier living continues. Stay connected as we introduce our August Hydrate to Thrive: A Self-Care & Wellness Initiative—designed to help working professionals and our community embrace small, intentional habits that support healthier minds, healthier bodies, and healthier lives… one step at a time. 💧🌳

With gratitude,

Selena Johnson 💚💜

Good Morning, Walk to Wellness Family! 💚💜👟

Happy 4th of July! 🇺🇸 Wishing you a safe and joyful Independence Day.

It’s already 80°F this morning (7AM), so if you’re heading out for your walk, please take extra precautions. Walk during the coolest part of the day if possible, stay hydrated before, during, and after your walk, and follow all heat safety recommendations to help prevent heat-related illness.

Take care of yourself, enjoy time with your loved ones, and keep moving—one step at a time. Have a wonderful and safe holiday! ☀️💧✨

It is with great honor we announce that Delaware Elite Track Club is awarded the 2020 AAU TRACK & FIELD NATIONAL CLUB OF THE YEAR!!!! This award was based on the performances and honors of our athletes in 2019 , our recognitions received on a national, state and local level. Also, our contributions as a club to the advancement of the sport by hosting our own meets, volunteering with the City of Wilm youth meets, our contributions outside of T& F including numerous donations to St. Patrick’s homeless shelter during the winter months. Lastly, our services not directly related to competition, partnering with First State Preps for academic and scholarship assistance to college and financial aid assistance. No one is denied access to our program based on finances.
Thank you to all 25 Coaches who VOLUNTEER and dedicate countless hours to the athletes of our program both Novice & Elite, our team coordinator who works around the clock for all of our athletes & families, our parent volunteers, community sponsors, City of Wilmington and New Castle county for believing in us, AAU track & field , Coacho , Jose Orlena and everyone else who nominated us for this award . Delaware Elite has used the sport of track & field to make an impression on the lives of our youth and brought opportunity to our communities statewide. We are the second smallest State in the Country and for us to be recognized as first amongst thousands of clubs in the Nation is a huge and humbling honor .
