Congratulations to my cousin @kesemichell ! 🤍

And yes, I VERY much held the title of “Cousin of the Bride” and made sure everybody knew that was MY cousin getting married. 😭😂

Three weddings. Two weekends. 5/6 dresses. A bridal + grooms team of FIFTY people. 😭💀 Baby, this was a production.

It was also my first time attending an OAC wedding, so the experience was definitely different for me. 😭 But I ended up having WAY more fun than I expected.

What a beautiful, chaotic, love-filled celebration. Congratulations again, Boo. 🤍🥂

Now enjoy this chaos from @iamnatureinger & I

Création Botswana was created to support its selected participants, but we have always believed that its impact should extend beyond the programme.

Throughout Season 1, we hosted free monthly public masterclasses, giving Botswana’s wider fashion, creative and business community access to practical knowledge, fresh perspectives and opportunities to learn from local, regional and international experts.

As we look back at these moments, we are also looking forward to continuing our public masterclasses in Season 2, with sessions for those involved or interested in jewellery making, accessories and business development.

Would you like to join us? Email creationbotswana@afgaborone.org and request to be added to our invitation list for upcoming free masterclasses.

ElevateHER Session One | OWN Your Mind - Leadership Begins With Ownership.

Session One of the ElevateHER 2026/27 journey, OWN Your Mind, was brought to life in partnership with @metropolitan_za , @bayportza , @avani_gaborone and @kanako_bw - partners investing in the growth, leadership and advancement of women.

At the heart of the session was our OWN framework:
O - Observe: What is happening within me?
W - Work Through: What must I confront, unlearn or strengthen?
N - Navigate: What will I consciously choose to do differently?

Before we can own our careers, money, influence or future, we must first learn to own ourselves.

The conversations went beyond titles and success, exploring pressure, difficult decisions, self-doubt, resilience and the personal work required to lead.

Here’s a glimpse into the day through the voices of Lesego Osman, CEO of @firstcapitalbw ; Sinclair Sithole CEO of Bayport Botswana; and Dzene Makhwade-Seboni, CEO of @mascombw , alongside cohort members Gofaone Kgafela and Tumisang Ramantele. We were also delighted to welcome Yao Tafa, who joined us to observe @elevateher_x in motion.

Session One was only the beginning. Here’s a glimpse of OWN Your Mind in action.

Our heritage is sitting on a goldmine of storytelling. Botswana has always had a rich history, and it is high time we start turning these incredible folk tales into high-budget movies, animated series, and cinematic universes. The global stage is ready and waiting for us. Imagine sitting back and watching the legend of Kgogomodumo streaming worldwide on Netflix! 🍿🎥

It’s time to look beyond what's under the ground. Let’s build the creative industry and truly diversify our diamond economy through the power of our own stories.💎🚀

Names carry meaning. Or do you think it’s not that deep?

Many cultural traditions across the world believe different things when it comes to choosing names. Many names have meaning and some believe a person’s character traits or life journey will match their names.

Last Friday, we had the wonderful opportunity to welcome the Create Consent Culture organization along with Nature Inger for a very special workshop with the children.

Through interactive games, songs, storytelling, and open discussions, the children learned about body boundaries and the importance of mutual respect. They learned to confidently declare “you respect my yes and you respect my no, I respect your yes and I respect your no”, and to proudly remember that “I deserve to feel safe” ❤️

To celebrate their participation and learning, every child was awarded a certificate! 🎉

A huge thank you to all the wonderful children who participated, and a special thanks to Nature Inger and Create Consent Culture for this impactful session!
Thank you for helping us build a safer Botswana for us all. 🇧🇼

Yesterday marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Création Botswana💎🇧🇼🇫🇷

At Alliance Française de Gaborone, Her Excellency Valérie Baraban, Ambassador of France to Botswana, Naseem Lahri, Managing Director of Lucara Botswana, and Bokani Machinya, President of Alliance Française de Gaborone, officially signed a strategic partnership that will drive the next phase of the programme.

Following a successful first season focused on fashion entrepreneurship, Création Botswana Season 2 will shift its focus to jewellery design and manufacturing, creating new opportunities for Botswana's creatives to connect with the country's diamond and jewellery value chain.

The launch was attended by esteemed guests, friends of the Création Botswana programme, members of the media, and, most notably, Business Development Manager of KGK Diamonds Botswana, Mr. Siddarth Gothi, as well as representatives from Oodi College of Applied Arts and Technology, both of whom will play an important role in supporting the programme's technical and industry-focused components.

It was also a special moment to welcome back the designers from Season 1, who came together to pass the creative entrepreneurship baton to the next generation of participants. Their presence was a powerful reminder that Création Botswana is a growing community of creatives, entrepreneurs, mentors, and industry leaders committed to building Botswana's creative future.

Applications, programme details, partner announcements, and much more will be shared soon. Be sure to follow our pages so you don't miss what's next.
