Recently I had the honor of capturing graduation ceremony portraits for Norman on the campus at CNU.✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What ceremony, you ask? You know, our version of the ceremony that was postponed from December 2019...to May 2020...and is now scheduled for May 2021.🤪
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We created a custom “place holder” ceremony on the grandiose lawn with two people @iamnormalnorman loves dearly—his mom and dad.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Norman’s parents played key ceremony roles, congratulating Norman with his diploma and giving the traditional CNU hug as he walked across our outdoor stage.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was fun capturing traditional and personalized portraits, bookmarking some of the well-earned achievements Norman made during the last four years at Christopher Newport University.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Even though it stinks that your official graduation ceremony is delayed, I refuse to delay congratulations most definitely in order—Norman, you worked hard and made significant accomplishments over the last four years—CONGRATULATIONS!!! Wishing you all the best as you move forward in your career, including great pursuits in writing and music.✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
p.s. Happy belated birthday!

Overlook. Overlooked. Remember. Look over. Forget.

Look closer. Its hard to see it. No, I don't mean the photo. There is more to this than meets the eye.

Question: Why don't you cross me?
Response: Is volatile emotionality closely related to being easily offended?

I used to judge people who didn't do what I saw as their best. I used to believe they weren't thoughtful, considerate, thorough. But I was wrong. Beyond judgment being wrong, my perception of such people was wrong. I will not pretend to understand their unique minds. It may simply be that they do not overthink the things I do. Of that I am envious and will try to imitate in my own life.
