⚡ 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗔𝗥𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗚𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦! 🚂✨

There's something special about finding an original Wizards of the Coast Harry Potter card in a 𝗖𝗚𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟬!

This beauty is Finding the Platform, a stunning rare foil from the 2002 Adventures at Hogwarts set, capturing one of the most iconic moments from both the original book and film. ⚡

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗢𝗧𝗖 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟬 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸. Over 20 years old, with printing imperfections and years of handling making top grades increasingly difficult.

I absolutely love the original illustrated artwork on these early cards, and with Harry Potter collecting gaining serious momentum, I think more collectors are starting to appreciate just how special they are.

⚡ THE ORIGINAL HARRY POTTER BOOSTER BOX! ⚡

Well, I couldn't resist this one! 😂

I've finally added a factory-sealed 2001 Harry Potter Base Set Booster Box to the collection. 36 untouched packs from the original Wizards of the Coast release!

Why did I have to have it? Because this is the OG Harry Potter TCG set, home to the iconic Harry Potter #8/116 holo, widely regarded as his TCG rookie card.

Now, here's something interesting...

There are just over 200 PSA 9 examples of this Harry Potter card, compared with over 3,000 PSA 9 examples of Michael Jordan's legendary 1986 Fleer rookie, which can sell for around $50,000 in that grade.

I'm not suggesting Harry Potter will reach Jordan prices. They're completely different markets, but it certainly makes you think!

Harry Potter is one of the biggest entertainment franchises on the planet, yet its original trading cards have been overlooked for more than two decades.

Pokémon collectors understand the importance of early Wizards of the Coast products. Sports collectors understand rookie cards. Comic collectors understand first appearances.

Why should Harry Potter be any different?

The market is already flying, but I genuinely believe there's still enormous room for growth. The upcoming HBO series will introduce Harry Potter to a whole new generation, while the original fans are now old enough to have serious collecting budgets.

And when more collectors start researching the history of Harry Potter cards, where are they going to look?

Straight back to the original 2001 Base Set!

For anyone tracking prices and looking for genuine comparisons, I paid £2,500 for this sealed box just over a week ago. Happy to share that, especially with prices moving so quickly as more people recognise what these early cards and sealed products represent.

Nothing is guaranteed, of course, but I think we're watching Harry Potter establish itself as a serious collectibles market, and I believe we're still relatively early.

My prediction? In a few years, collectors will look back at some of today's prices for original Harry Potter material and wish they'd paid more attention.
