Wow! Another year around this sun, and this year was the best year so far 🤎

I have to thank y’all for donating enough for me to get out of my abusive household. Those first five months of this year have been filled with so much uncertainty but also unconditional love and support from my friends and professors. God genuinely blessed me with a village. Going to this university given me the opportunity to learn more things about myself more ways than one.

To my friends that given me your home to rest in, thank you. Thank you for loving me even when I didn’t have much to give. Thank you for your patience. Thank you for teaching me how to rest when my own mind was too heavy. Thank you for showing me what a happy, healthy family looks like.

To my friends that donated and listened to me when I thought no one else would, I love ya too <3.

To my mentors that given me hope for the better, thank you.

For the past 17 years I’ve been raised in a mindset that if I have nothing to give, no one will care. If I weighed a certain number my own value diminishes. If I wasn’t the best, then I’m a failure.

I was terrified to ask for help, and yet this year showed me nothing but kindness I couldn’t ever imagine. I didn’t think I could laugh or cry this much. I can finally enjoy food again. I sleep more without guilt.

I love living again.

And don’t worry! Ya girl is still creating, I’m just resting! As soon as I get that creative juice again I’ll be a creative machine 🙂‍↕️🤎

Keep creating ya’ll, keep being great 🤎

A fall from grace - that’s what I’d consider this piece 😅 So very terribly flawed, but I decided to post it anyway because (1) how often does @usk.sg organise a sketchwalk in the far East (2) this ijioyou location is only 1 km away from my block (3) my sketch spot takes only 15 minutes to get to on foot — have I annoyed you enough? 😅

Seriously though, thank you @jaewye for the jio to someplace so convenient to get to, as I had another event I could not miss this morning, but still made it in time for throwdown 🙏🏽 Thank you too to fellow sketchers who made the effort to commit to a travel duration that is “normal” for me (about 1.5 hours each way, on average) to get to a sketch location. It really felt like you were coming to visit me and fellow Easties 🥹♥️

How did I manage to paint this before throwdown even though I arrived late? Well, I went to sketch yesterday (Friday) morning, but because I arrived when the sun was closing in really fast and I chose an unsheltered spot, I had to stop after I was done with my base pencil sketch (40 mins in) for fear of being overbaked, and continued to paint at home (total 2 hours in 2 separate sittings)

You’ll notice that I added the man in safety vest after leaving the location.. he walked past me when I was packing up my things and I thought to myself.. of course, construction workers like him are the reason we now enjoy the comfort of our abodes and and the amenities around us 🙏🏽 So this sketch is my dedication to these everyday heroes who make life better for us, and are hardly celebrated for it... and so he became the main subject of my sketch 🫡 p.s. If I had not sketched on location, my narrative would have been completely different 🙏🏽

TW: Abuse and Neglect.

I need help.

First off - I want to say I’m blessed to have such beautiful friends that encouraged me to create this post in regards to my abusive household.

The stress alone placed me in the hospital multiple times.

I’m usually so positive and uplifting on my account. Yet, this winter break made realize the environment I’ve grown accustomed to, and continue to endure isn’t healthy.

Although I’ve recently became a Bison at Howard University. Became the first in my family to go to college. Won almost 8k in scholarships to assist my family financially. Gotten chosen out of 115+ students to work in a R1 rated laboratory for Genetics.

Yet, my mother locked me out for receiving a C in chemistry. Even if I received all A’s it would’ve never been enough.

I’ve even given up all my savings when we were homeless, and it’s still not enough.

I don’t think I’m hard to love. This post is so sudden, but I’ve done everything I could to help myself.

I appreciate everything and any donation to find a safe space and go back to college

The horse is here..

2026 New Year Magma OC Art Collab with @afton_h4hahha and @mochi_mallow and I !! It's my first time ever doing a collaborative illustration like this, it was challenging but fun as heck!

2025 was... something, that's for sure. It was insanely eventful for me, a lot of stuff happened, ranging from mad awesome to absolutely horrible. I'm kinda glad that I'm still here and alive, because I wouldn't have gotten to know most of you guys otherwise.

Art wise, I know I still have a lot to improve on, and I can't wait to learn new things and create more works in the next year! I'm also working on a new project of my own currently.. wow I wonder what it is... Anyways, here's to 2026 being our year 🫶

I had a great time at artcade! Got to discover new artists and talk to people!! IM NORMAL!!!
Ok in all seriousness I really had a good time and I was happy I could muster up the courage to talk to strangers and give people compliments. Also stamps were fun.
There was an artist that asked me about Rafayel and I missed out the fact that he's an ARTIST. I just mentioned he was a fish pfft.

Hello?! My first Sponsor?! WOAH, I’m surprised too 🌟

First off I want to thank @tourboxofficial for trusting me with their latest device “TourBox Elite Plus One” - I never used anything related to a hotkey board, and since then I can say 100% it’s an amazing investment! It fits like a glove, and I can say it’s equivalent to Thor’s Hammer for creatives.

1.) The interface comes prepackaged with Presets already programmed for Clip Studio Paint / Procreate / Medibang / etc

2.) It improved my workflow! I didn’t think such a small device can benefit my productivity.

3.) Pocket sized! It can literally fit in my pockets. I bring this thing everywhere - even completed some commissions with this device!

4.) Personally, my wrist pain in my right hand (I’m left handed when I draw) is damn near gone. For weeks I had to shorten my time creating, and now this is the most active I’ve been!
