Making Movies is never easy. It takes an army of people working hard, solving impossible problems and believing in the thing you're building. For that I'm very grateful.
Butcher's War is a muscular, character driven action thriller about survival, betrayal, justice and a man trying to find some measure of peace after a lifetime of war.

Around about a year ago now, I was in Tulsa, Oklahoma for the filming of a movie I was blessed enough to be asked to be an associate producer on. I was even more fortunate when my title was bumped up to co-producer. This past weekend I got to see that credit come onto the big screen at Pretty Babies’ premiere at the Edinburgh Film Festival, surrounded by over 175 people at a sold out screening. It’s no exaggeration to say my fingertips didn’t stop tingling from pure pride, relief, and joy for at least twenty minutes afterwards.

There’s so much to be proud of in regard to this film. I’m proud of @livingwithfreckles and the heart that she led with every day on and off our set. I’m proud of our team’s ability, spearheaded by @jordandwagner and @kvpi , the two people who have changed my life with this, to execute what I fully believe is the best possible version of the story Tyler wanted to tell. I’m proud of @laurenguiteras ‘ eye for cinematic beauty on the road and in motel rooms on an ironically, meta textually, whirlwind journey that led her and us from New Mexico to Oklahoma. I’m proud of @beeeee_rod for helping us to get the film to where we all knew it could be, but seemed just out of our reach at the worst of times. I’m proud of @iamrandywayne , @taliabellawayne , and @go_4_danny , our fairy godparents, who moved mountains to make Oklahoma our temporary home and ensured the film had the best talent, locations, and resources the state had to offer in sometimes impossible circumstances. Jonathan Guggenheim and George Bicknell don’t have instagrams and therefore will never see this, but to say I’m always proud of both of them and their respective invaluable contributions to this film too is an understatement that doesn’t do it justice.

We made an incredible film together, but most of all I’m proud of the family we made. The experience of making Pretty Babies set the bar high for what is possible every step of the way, and gave me people I know I’ll love for the rest of my life. After all, they see the moon the same way that I do (you’ll get that more when you see the movie, hopefully coming very soon to a theater near you).

Hellraiser: Judgment (2018), written and directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe, follows three detectives investigating a brutal serial killer, only to uncover a much darker world connected to Pinhead, the Cenobites, and a new supernatural system of judgment and punishment 💀

Obviously, this is another Hellraiser design, but I wanted to shine a little light on an entry in the franchise that I think deserves a special mention. We Hellraiser fans know the series can be pretty hit or miss, but Judgment had some genuinely good ideas. Could it have benefited from a bigger budget? Absolutely. But with what they had, I think they did a great job of taking the mythology in a different direction and giving us another way of looking at Pinhead's world.

Paul T. Taylor, for me, gives the second-best performance of Pinhead in the series. I also absolutely love the Auditor and think there's so much more that could be explored with that character. Alexandra Harris, Damon Carney and Randy Wayne also bring plenty to the film. Is it the best Hellraiser? No. But I definitely think it deserves a little more love.

‘The Gates’ is a movie on Amazon Prime in the suspense genre. This movie had suspense, drama, some action, and even a random musical element. The cast is diverse and the acting is superb. The writing was mostly predictable and it could’ve pushed boundaries a bit more... It tackles topics on racism, friendships, religion, and power. The plot was good. This film is 99 minutes at a moderate pace. The production was good. I rate this film a 7/10.
