Welcome to my life

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Fantastic Few days away on the resilient lady @virginvoyages cruise. With my amazing friends and Fam, great times. Sadly missed out on the 80’s night because I was rough as. Will miss all my friends I made on board and remember great times! Until next year…..

Day 2 (a little late) - Sea Day
Today was all about #scarletnight but before that we experienced what the Resilient Lady and the @resilientladyhappeningscast had to offer.
Salty Trivia, Around the World in 80 minutes with the amazing @gilamoonstar then a private Karaoke Session.
Scarlet Night topped off a pretty perfect day incredibly. Everyone should experience it one in their life.

Happiest 40th birthday to my partner in crime.

Thank you for literally being on this journey with me, being my shoulder to cry on, being there at the worst times and being there at the best. I can’t imagine my life with you not in, I can’t wait for another 40 years of friendship. Have the best day ❤️

Anyone who knows me, will remember that cheeky, chatty, slightly annoying 14 year old that used to bunk off of school (disclaimer *kiddies don’t do this!*) or sneak out of the house at 3am or get my older brother @lumpy_custard craig to drive us in the back of his van to see steps. I could sit and list the places and things we used to do. Camping out at night outside venues to be front row, making friends with the local drinkers that fell asleep on the street 😅We were so so lucky because eventually, we were recognised for our efforts. The amount of stick we got for doing it and yet we shrugged our shoulders and still did. During that time, I could list so many peoples names that I made friends with through out the years. We used to laugh, dance in the streets, in the rain, cry over silly things but honestly we had the best times and I have best friends for life. Fast Forward 24 years later. I can’t go to every single show like I used to because my children and husband are my priority, which I know steps themselves would appreciate. When I do, wow, it takes me back to days of not worrying about mortgages and daily struggles.
For anyone privileged to go to a steps concert, knows that when you walk in there. All the discrimination and hatred outside goes and we are there for the same reason, equality and to let down our hair and have fun. In that room, we can be ourselves. 24 years on, I have two children that now love hearing my stories and seeing pictures and even love Steps. There is no false pretences with steps. What you see is what you get. 5 genuinely beautiful people inside and out.
Last night. @clairerichardsofficial made Robert and I feel like we were on cloud 9. It was incredibly emotional, especially as heartbeat is already my favourite song and now since loosing my mum, it’s even more special so to have that song dedicated to us and acknowledge our efforts really was overwhelming and beautiful. My mum would be proud as punch up there. 💔I will be following them all the way to the old peoples home bingo and shows in many many many (many…) years to come. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making us smile since 1997 ❤️💓💗🚗🤪
