In order to be a client of mine going forward, you will need to read this and follow through with doing your part as the parent. If not, please seek another hair stylist ❤️

PSA to All My Parents:
At this point, we are going back to the basics. No more cute videos, no more elaborate styles without foundation……

✨ Non-Negotiable Home Care:
• Moisturize your child’s hair every other day using a spray bottle with leave-in conditioner.
• Moisturize their scalp every other day with grease or oil—no exceptions.
• When taking down braids (yes, that time will come), soak the hair in water mixed with regular conditioner—not leave-in. Each braid should be taken down one at a time, detangling each section thoroughly from tips to roots as you go.

• Consistency matters: I expect to see your child every 2–3 weeks for shampooing, conditioning, and re-braiding. Hair should breathe 2–3 days outside of braids before your next appointment.

If you cannot follow this system, you are not a candidate for my chair. You’ll need to find another stylist.

For those bouncing between me and other braiders: I’m seeing the results. Hair that once flourished is now thinning, weakened, and damaged. We’re not going to keep pretending otherwise. I specialize in healthy hair, not just hairstyles.

At this stage, proper care is not optional—it’s required. And please know: I can tell who’s following instructions and who’s not. Clients who do not follow my regimen will also not be eligible for extensions or weave.

We’re rebuilding from the ground up. Healthy hair is the goal—not just the image.

Whew @tiff_massey did a big one! Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of seeing this monumental exhibit. Do yourself a favor and pull up the DIA to experience this incredible exhibition! I will be going back again and again. Shoutout to everyone that made this exhibition possible especially the auxiliary groups, sponsors and the DIA curatorial team.
