Margin debt just hit a record $1.53 trillion, up 50% year over year. Meanwhile investor credit balances sank to a record negative $1.06 trillion. People aren't buying with cash anymore — they're borrowing to buy more.

And here's the part nobody talks about: the top 10% of households own 87% of all stocks and mutual funds in America. The bottom half owns about 1%. So a tiny, extremely comfortable group controls whether this market sells off — and when they need cash, they don't sell and trigger taxes. They just borrow against the portfolio.

That's a structural reason this market doesn't have to crash just because it's expensive.

Every secular bull market has one brutal gut-punch — almost exactly 7 years after it breaks out.

1957: 7 years into the 1950–1966 run.
Black Monday 1987: 7 years into the 1980–2000 run.
COVID 2020: 7 years after the 2013 breakout.

The "overdue crash" people have been bracing for since 2010? It already came. It was COVID.

Follow for more market history that actually changes how you see the chart.

Mark my words. This is the year we go PLATINUM. 💿

And once I touch the Billboard charts, I plan on staying there for the next five years.

I’ve been out of the way, investing in myself, sharpening my craft, and protecting the company I keep. No more talking. No more complaining. No more explaining.

I’m going to let the work, the discipline, and the results speak for themselves.

WE FASHO GOING PLATINUM THIS TIME. 💿💿💿💿💿💿💿💿💿💿💿 #jdagr8 #tillweallrich #wegoingplatnuim

You’re friends are a reflection of who you are, who you want to be, and who you were at some point in your life. Be careful who you let around you because one way or another yall connected. 🤞🏽

The phrase when people show you who you are, you should believe them, is usually used in a negative light. But it's equally true that when year after year, people show you they are great friends, you should believe them. And celebrate them. And hold them close.
Sunday we did just that, with a day full of friends, laughter, food, presents and maybe a little bit too much @marthastewart48 eggnog.
Celebrating the holidays, and these friendships, is the best gift I could ever receive.
