It is part book launch for my latest book, This Is a Pivot, Not a Period, part community gathering, part resource connection, and part fundraiser benefiting Resilience Collective, Inc.

This evening was created especially for the Oklahoma City community to inspire, connect, encourage, and remind us that a pivot can still be full of purpose.

It’s official! I have been holding this news until the timing was right, and I am so grateful to finally share it.

The Resilience Collective has partnered with The Butterfield Foundation, which will serve as our fiscal sponsor. This partnership gives us the structure, oversight, and support needed to fundraise, pursue grant funding, and continue building this work with care and accountability.

For many years, my life’s work has centered on serving women, creating spaces for healing, and helping others take the next right step after trauma and life transitions.

With the support of The Butterfield Foundation, The Resilience Collective can now continue that work on a larger scale.

Our mission is to provide women survivors of trauma with faith-centered community, spiritual support, mental health education and referrals, connection to trusted resources, and counseling assistance grants for uninsured and underinsured women.

This is a meaningful step forward, and I am deeply thankful for what this partnership makes possible.

Looking back since 2020, I can say that so much has evolved for me. Although I knew that someday I’d open the doors to my own boutique, I had no idea it would happen during a global pandemic! All I can say is God really did it for me and my family! Creatives work so hard to keep the visions in our hearts and minds alive long enough to give to the world! I’ve had this vision since I was a girl and to see it still full of life, and more abundantly at that, brings me complete and utter joy! I started this picture off with a few images and after looking through my work, I ended up with this collage! Although I’m missing so many other styling moments, my passion and purpose is poured out all over this project! I am truly blessed! I want to thank every single person that has supported my family and I with Sue&Evelyn! We are grateful for your L💛VE throughout the years!! And I want to personally Thank My Style Vanguard Girls for all your hard work, willingness, and support! My Mommy, who I am so inspired by, for giving so much to help push my vision!! My Son, @therodericklee for giving up Saturdays to work a Pop-Up Shop or at the Boutique and always lending a creative idea and keeping me level-headed! And my Husband @thesavvyking I still remember waking up, to my surprise, with a website that you quietly worked on for me during 2020! Your sacrifice, support, encouragement, creativity, and love helped get me to this very moment! And last but most certainly not least, I THANK ME! I did not, can not, and will not give up on this thang! It’s just not in the cards for me! Sooo, thank you ALL for rockin’ with us!! Can’t wait to give y’all so much more this year!!
