Today is my music career anniversary!! 8 years ago I got my first check for working in music and it’s still what’s paying the bills 🤓

When I was just a street promoter and selling tickets to my friends in Vegas, I’d always known I wanted to be a bigger part of what made those events happen. I wanted to help create those special moments for people sooo bad.

I turned 21, asked for more responsibilities and never looked back. What started as a position managing the street team turned into overseeing an entire marketing team and managing events with over 8,000 attendees.

Somewhere along the way, @nazaarmusic took a chance on me and we’ve been locked in ever since.
We traveled to shows across the country together so he could play for thousands of people (he even went global on us!)

…. Then covid happened so I had to make a slight pivot.
and that’s how I found myself in digital marketing working at newly founded VRTCL.
My first campaign was for glass animals and I watched in real time as TT became a major part of music strategies for artists of every caliber.

The same influencers we were paying to do choreographed TT dances and transition themselves into bananas are now high end fashion models or charting recording artists.

Throughout my career, I watched my friends play hookah lounges to no one but our group of friends and then I got to help them get booked for sold out shows.

I watched DJs early in their career struggle to sell 50 tickets at a @commonwealthdtlv rooftop night, then blow up on TT and now they’re selling out any room they touch (big shout out @johnsummit lol)

I’ve even helped open some doors for people who just needed the space to be great. Now they’re off in the world being exactly the amazing marketer, musician or whatever they knew they’d be.

As I look back on the last 8 years, I can humbly say I’ve made my mark and followed my dreams and did my best to be a good person through it all.

I was just a girl with a dream and now I’m just a girl living in it. Thanks to everyone who’s been on the journey with me, good bad or ugly it’s all part of my story 🫶🏾
