An event where service met style. 👑✨

I was honored to serve as a runway fashion show judge at Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity’s 40th Anniversary Constructed Couture Fashion Show & Gala, an evening where creativity, community, and philanthropy came together for a cause that matters.

From innovative designs inspired by construction materials to an exciting auction supporting Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity, the evening celebrated how we can use our individual gifts to make a collective impact.

I believe everyone deserves access to safe, affordable housing and a place to call home. Home is more than a roof overhead; it’s a sense of security, a place to grow, and the foundation from which we can dream bigger. Everyone deserves that opportunity.

As Miss Henry County, I’m grateful for opportunities that bring together two meaningful points of the crown: service and style. While style may bring us together on the runway, service reminds us why we show up in the first place. It’s about using our platforms, our voices, and our opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

May we continue building stronger communities where every family has a safe place to call home. 🖤

New York, you were such a time!

NYFW was a great experience, and I can honestly say the entire trip went by way too fast. As my very first time visiting New York, there was so much I wanted to see, explore, and experience beyond Fashion Week itself.

I would absolutely love to come back and give myself the opportunity to really experience the city, take it all in, and see what New York has to offer outside of the NYFW schedule.

Until next time, New York. You definitely left me wanting more.

Behind the scenes at NYFW 🎬

Running through New York with @iamthereneehill who’s a fashion designer, camera in hand, chasing moments, catching details, and getting the shots you don’t really see.

From fabrics and fittings to fashion shows and the streets of NYC… this is what happens BEYOND THE RUNWAY.

Creative Director mode: ON.
Filmmaker mode: ON.
Feet hurting: absolutely. 😂

But when you love what you do, you get the shot.

Watch what every phone in this row is showing.

All of them are framing the same silhouette coming down the runway. What I want you to understand about Fashion Week The silhouette sells the season and the construction is what survives it.

Al Hamdulillah All Praises to God

I got to hear Dr @yusufmalikfrederick talked about his book "I Love Islam But I'm Tired of Muslims"

How spiritual abuse and racial trauma intersect to cause psychological distress among African American Muslim

I wasn't at the whole talks both days! But, I understand how spiritual abuse hurts a lot o New Shahadahs.

Insha'Allah, this is one of the reasons I do my Shahadah Classes to help making their transition it to Islam easier! Yes, their are stories how New Shahadah get treated on a different level, instead of welcoming with open arms.

Once we understand our trials of coming into Islam we should treat the New Shahadahs better.

Insha'Allah, looking forward to reading and may have some practices I may can help me be a better instructor!

Thank you Dr Yusuf for signing your book!

It's always beautiful to see @villageauntie Foundational Womanhood TOA Sisters!

When Gardens of Light, #GL123 @iamthereneehill @tealbakerellington meets Sacred Chrysalis 64, #SC64 @aginahmonique its good hugs!

***SUNDAY, JANUARY 25TH***

It's that time of year again! 🌙🕋📿

As Ramadan approaches, many Muslim women look forward to the holy month but dread when their period arrives.

Instead of feeling distant or disconnected while menstruating, let us come together to remember the sacred act that menstruation is.

In this free online workshop, we will learn:

🌺 how to shift to a period-positive mindset

🌺 how to support the relief of spontaneous or irregular bleeding, continuous spotting, PMS, cramps, etc.

🌺 how to cultivate period-positive homes and community spaces so no girl or woman feels like she is not worthy of worship while she bleeds

Register for FREE >> bit.ly/ppr2026

And if you've attended Period-Powered Ramadan in the past, please tag someone and tell them why to join us! 👇🏾
