This body of work is presented as three interconnected mini-collections, each exploring myth through material, memory, and transformation.

The first, Myths We Inherit, includes The Bride, an editorial garment created for TOME II: Melancholia, along with a faux fur coat that reimagines real fur fashion using only faux materials. Rounding out this set is Transformation, originally created for the theatrical production @triveniinstitutefoundation ShadowBall, crafted from old t-shirts and drapery remnants. Together, these garments reflect personal and cultural myths—those we inherit, perform, and reshape over time.

The second collection, Myths We Make, was developed for @triveniinstitutefoundation Trashion Revolution and uses post-consumer single-use plastic. Plastic Flow, made from 309 plastic bags—the number used every minute in Chicago—offers a haunting visual of excess turned into art. Eco-Bloom Couture imagines a new world blooming from our waste. These works challenge destructive modern myths of disposability by transforming waste into beauty.

The third, Myths of Place, includes Sparkling Shores: Lakefront Legacy, created for ReFashioning History at the @evanstonhistorycenter Evanston History Center, alongside two new companion looks, Coastline Shimmer and Radient Light, developed exclusively for the 2025 UNITY Fashion Show. These pieces speak to mythologies rooted in place—how landscapes, waterlines, and memory shape our collective identities.

Together, the collection explores myth as a living force: not just ancient tales, but evolving narratives we craft through the clothes we wear, the materials we choose, and the stories we tell.
