Ok, ok, I’ve just uploaded a post and a reel regarding the sacredness and sanctity of International Friendship Day, but here’s part two of the reel! Letting others know you value them and think about them and care for them on any level is an absolute joy and honour for us to do; and is a timely reminder of how important connection and friendship is in a world like this. 👍

So here’s to all the new friends we’ve met (@cat.perali, @ciansheehan, @sarah_rose_mulvihill, @oliviaflysakight, @jakebaker12, @ste.vn, @e_manelson, @rachaelcapasso, @anthony_scibelli, @carolineyawman, @ericmut567, @maarianaedonato, @henryhoiss, @haley_shimko, @nats_hoiss, @beth_harvey17, @gracebuddery, @nick_alphabet, @kristyclinton, @shaunhepple, @michellescarlioli) and others we’ve deepened our friendships with (or are in the process of strengthening!) (@alokacarol, @rjenkins179, @rvelasquezgil, @leytoncollings, @eleanorhelene82, @stl_scott, @harrisonjs108, @leahgggao, @ian_stuart, @averlyaulicino, @miki_weinstein2, @rosesahyoun, @daniel.shortt, @swerdna2012, @jaynoo69, @costa_telidis, @petemsc, @james.can.run, @aimeepatterson21, @mickeymaguire092); we appreciate all of you and others I may not have mentioned in this post for various reasons. To people who are not on instagram or who we don’t know their Instagram handle yet, I’d like to make a special mention to Honey, Karno, Angela, Nelson, Alan, Janet, Rad, Michael, Ethan, Kieran, Florencia, Lauren, Peter, Lynn, Luke, Ross, Stephen, Scott, Phil, Scarlett, Ludim, Mark; and anyone else I’ve forgotten. You all are incredibly kind and generous people and it’s an honour to know you all!

With the world currently volatile in probably every facet possible, having friends and being in constant communication is key. And so here’s to the past 1 and a half years (and some of you maybe longer!) and here’s to the next 10/20/30! #friendship #connection #truefriends #abovethehook #coogee #internationalfriendshipday #abovethehookcoogeecafe

As I’m sure you would have guessed, today is the 4th of July. The Independence Day for Americans. We see a lot of patriotic films these days from America, and most of us have an idea, rightly or wrongly, of how Americans celebrate the day, or how they should celebrate the day. Barbecues, fireworks, going to see some marches, hanging out with friends, or maybe fighting some aliens; I guess the 4th of July looks different from person to person. And so, as today we’re here to honour our fellow Americans; that’s exactly what we’ve done.

So let me give a shout out to many Americans we’ve met along the way. @ian_stuart_, @averlyaulicino, @eleanorhelene82, @stl_scott, @jdeer07, Steve (not on Instagram), @carolineyawman, @ericmut567, @anthony_scibelli, @maarianaedonato, @elizabethesterow, @lauren.niss, @aanika_patel17, @kuhoobairwal, @shaunak.w, @ashnamulch, @beccazuckerman, @miki_weinstein2, @craftsbycronin; you guys are incredibly kind and just genuine people that we’ve met in recent memory. Jon and I consider you all friends; and we hope and pray that our friendship deepens as the months and years pass. So whether you are celebrating at home or going out for a party; today is a day to celebrate your heritage as an American! 🇺🇸 Don’t you reckon it’s time to listen to some country music like @carrieunderwood, Morgan Wallen, and @zachlanebryan? #usa #america ##friends #coogee #beach #abovethehook #abovethehookcoogeecafe #winter

Feeling extra grateful for all the wonderful souls I met during my time in Australia 🫶🏼

This experience has shaped me into someone I never knew could exist and I can’t help but thank every person that was apart of it. From the unconditional love and support that was given by family and friends from home, to the most genuine connections made with people from around the world, it was truly a bliss.

@tyler__woodcock thank you for doing this with me. I am so in love with you and the life we have made with each other. 16 year old me would freak if she could see us now!! Here’s to continuing to live out our dreams by each others sides.

Thank you Aus. Until next time ❤️
