They endure.
Records or medals, but in the living breath of history—carried forward by those who remember, and those who choose to tell its story. The 65th Infantry Regiment,
Los Borinqueneers, more than soldiers;
they are testament. Almas que stood in foreign cold with the warmth de la isla in their blood, who faced enemies before them but the quiet injustices behind them—and still did not falter.
Their courage atravesaron océanos.
Their sacrifice logró un lugar en la historia that could not be erased. Though time passed, truth has a way of returning. Recognition came as justice long overdue—a nation finally speaking their name with honor.
La historia lives en las venas de tantos puertorriqueños. Tantos abuelos who wear that uniform and stood among those men, who became that unbroken line of dignity.
What began como una memoria has become a mission to restore—to give voice to what was silenced, to witness so many stand together, behind and before the lens, is to see history not as something past, but as something alive.
The story walks with us now.
