2-mile time trial! never done the 2 mile at any race pace before, so i’m happy with my time. 12:47! Goal was 95% effort and I can confidently say it was 95— I felt great!

Offically two weeks out from our first meet, and I can’t wait to start the season!

We are back for another round of Medal Monday!

70.3 Coeur d’Alene: Big shout out to Jeff Clark for an incredible 5:23:46 to finish 12th in his AG on one of the toughest courses in the US!

Pat Griskus Olympic Tri: Felipe Santamaria took 2nd Place OA with a speedy 2:11!

Heart O Dixie Olympic Tri: Ian Hurt took 1st place in his AG and 8th OA with an 8 min PR over last year at this race! Finish time 2:14:42.

Round The Mtn (Mtn bike): The crew cleaned up in Canada! Mat Boudreau took the OA win on this tough course.
Debra Sluz took 2nd Overall with Christine Warren coming in right after in 3rd Overall!

RC Cola - Moon Pie 10 miler: Derek Brawders took 2nd Place in his AG!

Cherry Garcia 10k: Coach Scott Bennefield took 2nd in his AG! Great way to spend Father’s Day!

Cherry Garcia 5k: Whitney Bennefield had a fantastic race!

Solstice Classic, Anchorage: Brandon Gibson had a blast jumping into this 8k while on vacation!

i went into this season with an open mind, and a purpose. winning double gold last year made me think, why not go for a third?
opening the season with times just short of my pr’s gave me hope, and made me realize i’m a different athlete than i was a year prior. getting tossed between the 4x8 and 4x4 all season gave me hope that maybe, just maybe, we could bring home a 4th gold. the third meet of the year, cliett told me “we could win a state championship with you and a relay. kielman, if we did that, you’d get 5 rings.” not only did this motivate me, it pushed me to encourage others.
constantly breaking school records, improving my times, and ranking in the state kept me in the state of mind to become a champion. for CALEDONIA to become champions.
the harder i worked, the stronger i got. the more improvement i saw. all credit to @collinmayfield2 and @crp.coaching for the training and belief. fighting injury and motivating the team to be the best they could be, we made it to state. we came, and we conquered.
if this season taught me anything, it’s to give it time, and it work out. thank you to my coaches, my friends, my family, and my teammates for the support and love.
@cody57cliett, next year won’t be the same without you in my corner, but i know you’ll be watching. thank you for being there and for the motivation and support. the best coach i could ask for. i won’t let you down.

Medal Monday is here again, and racing is in full swing.
Congratulations to our athletes!

70.3 Venice Vesolo: Spiro Youakim @spiro.youakim got his season off to a great start with a solid day all around.

White Lake Pro-Am Half triathlon: Sean Saxton too the overall age group win and also the fastest run split of the day at the White Lake Pro-Am Half triathlon in a time of 2:58:09.

Mighty Mujer Sprint Tri: Kristina Sinnott kicked off her season in this all female event and had a solid result placing 6th in her Age Group.

Mississippi State HS Track Championships: Ian Hurt took 2nd in the 800 meters in a time of 2:05:19.

Kootenay 5k: Debra Sluz took the AG WIN in a solid time, just 9 seconds off her PR.

Magic at the Mountain OWS Race:
Natalie Wright took the AG win and was 4th OA in the 5k swim.
Bryan Heaton took 7th OA in the 2 miles swim.

Way to go team!!
