“There must be lots of folk out there who’d like a Brigadoon.” 💛🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🪻Love you to the glen & back, Miss Meg Brockie. This was such a special one.

Brigadoon has been a favorite of mine for a long, long time and this truly was such a dream to work on. I’m so lucky to have worked with the most brilliant cast to bring the magic of Brigadoon to life, as well as the amazing talents of @jarrettwmorley, @lbetheredge, @williebeatonii, and everyone else at @jwmtheatricalcompany who approached this show with the utmost love & care❤️

Being able to do Brigadoon here in NYC and in a way that made it accessible to so many people made it even more special. It’s experiences like these that remind why I love live theatre, and how lucky I am to do it.

As the Sharon Playhouse season comes to an end, i thought now would be the perfect time to reminisce on this incredible summer. Almost 2 months later, 42nd street is still as special to me as it was when we first started. This marks my second professional show and I am full of gratitude for this opportunity. It was a challenge but all the hours upon hours spent in my bedroom late at night were made worth it as soon as we hit the stage. And hey, now I can officially say i’ve tapped in heels and have my very own pair of LaDucas!! Thank you to the wonderful creative team for bringing this incredible vision to life, none of this would have been possible without your incredible gifts. Thank you to my cast for teaching me SO much through the process and becoming a second family to me; it was the most amazing experience to share the stage with all of you. This production will always hold the biggest place in my heart. It was an honor to be a speck of dust in your show❤️!! Until next time :) !!

“Let the world grow cold around us.
Let the heavens cry above.
Brigadoon. Brigadoon
In thy valley, there be love.” -Alan Jay Learner

I had such a fun time performing Brigadoon. While Harry Beaton’s life was a nightmare, my experience on this show with these lovely people was a DREAM!! I loved getting to work with a group as talented, funny, and kind hearted as these folks.

I am so grateful to @jwmtheatricalcompany @jarrettwmorley @lbetheredge and @williebeatonii for bringing me on board. Let’s do it again in 100 years’ time when we rise from the mist again!

The most we can ask from any experience is to learn from it. And this @sharonplayhouse production of 42nd Street was a relentless teacher. I learned so much about skill diversity, self-trust, and finding guidance in another actor’s eyes. I’m grateful for @cgandress , @amyvannorstrandmurphy , @ericthomasjohnson and this marvelous cast and crew for all their talent, grace, and laughs as I navigated several firsts—and said some pretty nasty (scripted) things to everyone in the process. You’re all gems.
So long, Dorothy Brock. And thank you. ❤️
