Within the skin of the unheard, 2024
Mixed Media

Through crawling and roaming within the skin of the less understood, we discover the hidden connections that unite us as humanity.

The installation begins with a dark tunnel made of black tarpaulins, leading to a dimly lit room
where a video plays on a white sheet. Through headphones, visitors will hear a mixture of
noises, creating a disorienting experience similar to auditory hallucinations.
Inside the room, translated excerpts from handwritten letters offer insight into the thoughts and
feelings of someone experiencing psychosis. This installation aims to help visitors understand
and empathize with those living with mental health challenges, encouraging reflection on their
views and inspiring compassion.

A bit of a different post than the other years. But oh my God this year was fun. I definently had some very VERY deep lows, but those were almost immediately followed by some of the highest highs I've ever had. I got to do an amazing internship which turned out to be a big success, had so many fun adventures with friends, started making videos for fun again, met some AMAZING people, got SO much closer to friends I already had, made some amazing future plans im really excited about, got a new job, and even more.

I'm sO EXCITED for what the next year has to bring. Let's hope for the best💜
Stay safe once again this year, and make sure to take care of yourself. You got this!!
Signing off for tonight,
Bug💜
