“Idle Hands, Something About The Devil,” is available now. A documentary detailing the recording of the album will be available on YouTube, March 6th. Thank you to anyone who chooses to listen to it. To anyone who chooses to listen to even one song. Everything is appreciated. When we made “Of the Mundane,” we had truly no expectations of anything. We were two boys, 15-16 years old, cooped up in our bedrooms at 2 in the morning, hunched over a computer, recording for no one. It was an isolating and wholly internal process. Somehow, by the graces of the internet gods, we were gifted even the slightest modicum of recognition for what we had made. Now, at almost 20, after nearly three years, we release our second album into the world. In July of 2025, we spent three days in a Joshua Tree Airbnb, losing our minds in the middle of nowhere, recording this album. The following months were spent obsessively tweaking every detail imaginable, until we arrived at what you’ll hear. Though it’s a far cry “Of the Mundane,” we hope you’ll find any semblance of a connection with it. Thank you to anyone who stuck around since our last album, it’s genuinely inconceivable to us. Even as a niche internet band, it’s insane to know that anyone cares about the art we make. Thank you. WishList | install & bts | after hours over the past few months, I’ve had an absolute blast working with @jamie__owens as co-curator on WishList, the first ever call for art at @afterhours.gallery, a collaboration with @artistsinconvo. the concept - to spoof consumer culture, mass production, “the sacred” - effortlessly took shape as we took in the incredible work of the artists who submitted. what was initially meant as social and political satire became something far more than that for me. amidst all of what has happened this year, this show made art fun again. and isn’t that what art should be? on view through December, open 11-7pm through the week, closed Mondays. many thanks to all of the contributing artists. special shout outs to @andrewstarfish, @annastacii, @maks.khutorianskyi and @kellyvorpahl for support behind the scenes, and of course, to @afterhours.skateshop for allowing this madness to happen in the first place.
