Frost came, and so did the celebrating. This was the busiest and best summer and fall field season Janniebird Farm has ever had. Every bucket, every bouquet, every early morning in the rows and every late night in the cooler added up to something I’m so proud of. Now we will prepare the field to rest and I’m celebrating! Thank you to every CSA member, patron, client, wedding couple, gala chair, restaurant and business that saw the importance of supporting local flowers this season. You are the reason these blooms had somewhere to go. It. Was. Incredible. A huge thank you to @hilmo28 for every single hour you poured into this place and for somehow always being able to read my mind. I could not have done this season without you. And to @ibarranch , thank you for helping us grow more flowers and grow our business with a brand new field this year. We are so grateful to call this land home. Let’s do it again. At the very start of my wedding photography career, I begged my friends Jack and Perrine (freshly engaged at the time) to let me do a save the date shoot with them. They were a little reluctant, but eventually said yes, and we spent the day running around a big farm, riding a tandem bike, and getting excited about their big day. 🚲 A year and a half later, that day finally came. 🌷😊 Jack and Perrine were some of the first people to trust me with their love story, and they were also some of the first to show me how much I absolutely love photographing love. Thank you both for your friendship and your trust. It was an honor to capture your day. It’s honestly hard to put into words how much fun and joy was packed into this wedding. Jack and Perrine met while working at a ski shop in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and spent their courting era skiing, dancing, and having an absolute blast. That spirit showed up in every single decision: the guest list, the camper vans everyone rolled in on, the wedding party mountain bike ride, and all the friends who doubled as vendors to pull this whole thing off. Easily one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever been to.
