Allow me a proud mom moment! This was really special! The @duckcommanderwarehouse won the “Attraction of the Year” award in our hometown last night!!! The entire team is crushing it making the experience of visiting Duck Commander a great one for all of our fans and followers!

Coming back to do The Revival there was so much conversation about who would “take over” the family business in the next generation and for anyone out there with a family business, I would just say, it’s been so great getting to simply invite our kids in without any pressure (even though @realwilliebosshog does like to put them to the test 😂)

We truly weren’t sure if any of them would grow up and want to work @officialduckcommander , but what a dream it’s been getting to work together with each of our kids in different ways. I love seeing how they are all using their gifts in whatever their hands find to do, whether it’s part of the family business or somewhere else.

The store and museum were really needing some love when @bellarobmayo took over and not long after @ibertooh came in to help run a well organized ship! Bella just so proud of you! You are creative, personal, smart and attentive to all of the details big and small, and you have worked so hard to make this happen! And Luis you have transformed that warehouse, worked so hard and excelled at whatever new thing we place in your hands. We should have taken a before and after, lol!! We’ve come a long way, baby! So proud of you both!

Also, that’s my parents @chryshoward and @johnhoward_7 in the middle of the pic. Willie and I couldn’t be there, but they are always there cheering every one of us on in whatever we are doing. So thankful!!

I heard something the other day that was a self check on my motive for “capturing the moment”. The paraphrased version is we used to live in the moment and drew our enjoyment from the moment. Then, we lived for capturing the moment & that’s where our enjoyment stemmed from. Now, we don’t live in the moment or even live to capture the moment…we live to share the moment and that form enjoyment is so temporary and falls flat.”
Days like today are fun & I love sharing, but I’m much more proud of the memories made than the photos I captured. Albeit, it was hot and the kids had lots of cranky moments…but we wouldn’t trade the experience for anything else!

The shortest month of the year has been a full one and it isn’t even over yet. 🩷🩷🩷
Levi started walking which opened a new can of cuteness, River is in a SWEET “mama’s boy” stage, and Livi is turning into a smart young lady who does her own makeup better than I.
