Playmate is SO excited to be performing a 30-minute excerpt from ⭐️ LULLABY FOR A GROWN MAN⭐️ for the @transmissionresearchsverige multilingual open stage theatre festival. In English.
On Saturday 6th July. In Lund.
This powerful anti-war dark and comically grotesque drama by Keren Klimovsky was a success at Bastionen in May and its Scandinavian premiere.

🎭Will be a hugely fun day on Saturday😎 with 10 different fragments of theatre performed on stage by a range of highly ambitious and dedicated actors/ performers based in southern Sweden - all working for this event on pieces of theatre and dramatic work-in-progress based on the theme of THE HOUSE.

Playmate is scheduled to go on at c. 13:30 but audiences are invited to attend a whole day of theatre from 11 a.m to 5 p.m.

Part of TMR's residency @stenkrossen.lund this spring 2024.

“Lullaby for a Grown Man” is a bitter-sweet, tragicomic, brilliant piece of writing for the stage, by Malmö-based playwright Keren Klimovsky whose plays have been put on all across Russia in the past, as well as currently in Ukraine, Israel, Lithuania, Latvia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. This is the national premiere of this play in Scandinavia and Sweden.

“Lullaby for a Grown Man” is a sterling example of a play that hits home with a dose of humour, more than a slice of grim reality and a touch of the absurd. A play that speaks volumes about the reality of life in today’s society with its conflicts, family tensions and the toll of living in a world subject to forces and to history bigger than our own.
